Hello everyone,

Well I bought my first pinball machine, new to this. I'm having some technical diffuculty and I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. I have about 5 flippers not working and no bells. Does anyone know were my problem is? I would like to get my hands on a wiring schematic. I'm thinking thats my problem. I've been reading through some of the posts and there is some really kowledgeable people out there. I'm hoping someone can help me get up & running.

This game has two flippers.
What 'five' flippers do you mean ?

For the bells: Check that the bell unit is present inside one side of the cabinet, and that it is plugged-in.
Also check that there are plungers in each of the chime coils.
Otherwise, the problem might come from the 10, 100, 1000 relay contacts in the backbox.

Was this jvegas' machine ?
I started fixing it a few weeks ago, and while the machine mostly works, it requires a new score motor, as the original one
has a worn-out clutch. One of the prior owner added a spring on the motor rotor to leave the clutch always engaged as a work-around.
However, the bad/always engaged clutch is causing issues with the ball eject as well as with the moving target bonus coil,
since the motor stops too far as the clutch is not disengaging when the motor is switched off.
I think that Jim bought a replacement motor on eBay for you.

Good luck !
- Sylvain.

1986 Williams Grand Lizard, 1991 Williams Bride of Pinbot, and a few others.
Cash or some trades available. Could also repair a machine of yours +/-$ if needed, in exchange for

This is the one from me....we played it yesterday and all was good, except for the intermittent issue with the score motor, which I have bought and will have it shipped direct to the new owner as discussed with him yesterday. It sounds to me like a connector issue on the reassembly of the machine. 2 small wires had to be cut in order to remove the head, so its important that they have been properly reattached and soldered. Also triple check that you have reatta21ched securely all the connectors that had to be unplugged when the head was removed. I was also confused by the 5 flipper thing...the game does only have the 2 bottom flippers. If its slingshots that are not working, that again is likely a connector issue from reassembly.

Thanks for the info Sylvain. I'm not sure what to call these flippers. . We are new at this, started a new hobby, always wanted to get started just never enough time. I guess maybe these flippers would be best called contacts. There on the playboard on the sides. I think they may be called shooter coils, they have rubber rings on them. We did buy this off of vegas101 and it was working when we bought and we were aware of the motor that he ordered. Must have happened in the transportation.
