I?ve been thinking about having a bunch of PF rotisseries made for a while now, but never really had anything to work from.  I broke down and purchased one from the US, and received it today.  There doesn?t seem to be anyone making these any more, and supposedly I got one of the last 6 mnpinball will be making.

I have NO idea what these would cost to make, but if enough people are interested I would send mine out to a metal shop we use to get quoted.  One of the biggest drawbacks of ordering one of the US versions was the shipping to Canada, so this would hopefully save people some $$...

This post is to gauge how much interest there would be for these.  If I get enough interest, I?ll get a quote.  If not, no biggie.  (for those wondering about ballpark, the originals from the US were $295 + SH)

Post here if you?re interested, and indicate if you?d be interested in more than one.

Interest so far (price dependant);

I might be interested if the cost is somewhat less than the originals.

I'm the same as MikeMan I'd be interestead if the price came back less then what they currently retail for.

they look really nice and I'd love to have one but for the price I'll stick with my $50 Homedepot home made rotessire that does the same thing, just not as nice.

How much less is the question?  $25? $50?  $150 less?  At what price point do you lose interest?  Obviously the cheaper the better, but we need to be realistic.  Do I think these can be made for less than $295?   I would think so, but the US guys claim there is little to no profit at that price, hence the reason they are not making any more....

If anyone is interested but is on the fence due to cost, post here with a reasonable max price.  (remember, I'm not making these myself)

I think if it were $200 - $250 and shiping costs wern't huge I could justify buying one.

I'd be 100% in for $200 + shipping ($25?) - assuming its similar quality / finish as the mnpinball ones...

My interest lowers as the price goes beyond that...

The finish is just blue spray bomb paint on the mnpinball one.  The quality would be the same, as that's what makes this rotisserie worth owning.  (I set it up last night and installed a BH PF into it)

I don't know if its reasonable.  But My Max Price would be $150.00 (Shipping not included).

Anything higher than that would motivate me to go to home depot and make my own.  But I am interested.

I'm also happy with my homemade Home Depot version (just so you can get a better idea of yeas vs. neighs).  You might be able to pick up some of the US market though, even with shipping the demand would be 10 times what it is here.

Only reason I'm offering to do this is to help fellow CDN collectors save a few $$. (A few close collector friends have wanted one of these for a while, and figured I'd find out if anyone here was in the same boat)  I have too much other stuff on the go to entertain this as a 'business', which is why I'm only asking you guys about it.

It's how you torture your playfield once you are totally frustrated with it!

poolman, I like the look of the tightening handles on this design, how is the rotation and brake engineered? Does it torque at all if the playfield isn't balanced in weight (looks like each end is supported by a single square tube iron - it may be more than enough strength, but usually you see a fork to deal with balance and torque here).

It's a heavy square tube design, balance is not an issue.I can tighten the ends on any angle without any problems.
