Hi folks,
I purchased Sylvain's Gottlieb Crescendo EM pinball machine.
I'm in need of a Lockdown bar for it.
Thank you
Rick

The original lock down bar for this game is an oddball by the way, used for only a few years by GTB.
Just saying in case someone wants to send one to mag00, make sure it's the right one, shipping can be a hassle in those back and forth cases.
If someone local has one, then that just solves a bunch of stuff doesn't it. ;)
By the way, nice game mag00, and from Sylvain to boot....

Is it one of those lockdown bars with round-headed bolts on the bottom? I may have one... have to check.

If you look at Cresendo or King Kool on IPDB you'll see that it is different than other lockdown bars in the shape it has. I think that it can be substituted for a later model lockdown bar since the underside bolts look like they are spaced the same distance as the next model. The original looked more like a front casing than a trim if that makes sense.

Sparky, I believe you are correct.
The machine is 22 inches wide. The holes are 16 inches apart, 3 inches from the siderails.
Thanks for looking,
Rick

Ted, if you have the exact original one that goes on Cresendo and those few other machines from that era, I will gladly trade you one from the early to mid 60's Gottlieb's.
Post a picture if you get a chance so we can see the difference on this fairly rare lockdown bar.
I have a client who has a KING KOOL I fixed for him, I will see if I can drop in on him later this week (he has it in his office) and take a picture or two.
We should post detailed pictures of this thing for references sake, - anybody ?

Would Steve Young's (The Pinball Resource) GTB-D14008A fit ?
http://www.pbresource.com/lockdb.htmlI am hoping it is not that hard to find...
- Sylvain.
Yes it would, but like I said it would leave a space underneath the front of the cabinet, and on the side edges slightly on Cresencdo. I spoke with Steve today about this, amongst other things, mainly the building SBCM's order being placed this friday for stock and MAACA memebers requests.
We have one of Steve's D14008A lock down bar brand new and in stock at the SB Toronto office for 30 bones I believe. It will fit, but doesn't look exactly right, as I said, but it will do the job regardless.

Hey Robert.Ya it's the bar with the welded on end caps and I think they were only used from 69-72.what kind of shape is your mid 60's bar in?

OK, here are the pictures I think we need to clear this up. I don't have exact dates for the three models of GTB lockdown bars we are trying to untangle here.
Ted, I think the bar you are referring to with the end caps welded on was in use before the one we are actually looking for to fit on magg00's CRESCENDO. I may be wrong, so look at the pictures below and let us know what you got. Tonight, I was lucky enough to borrow one off a client (from a "PLAYBALL" wedgehead) tonight and have taken the following photos to show the difference between the one we are looking for, and the later model Gotllieb P/N D14008A, which by the way will fit on mag00 machine but is a bit wider as you can see below.
