Didn't mean to discourage you, just wanted to give you a better idea of what's actually involved with swapping the PF's in a P2K game.

And having a wife is the most complicated "game" ever!

D

I know, I was serious, I really appreciate it. You guys saved me 1000$.

Thanks.

By wife, I think he means "having a SPOUSE is the most complicated game ever" - I'll attest to that!

Only I would think that trying a spouse SWAP would require a lot of resources and you end up with pretty much the same model you had before with a different cabinet, unless there are a lot of mods done.

I would think it is much better to try to maintain two at the same time.  Pinball 2000s I mean.

Are you able to get a Pin2K for $1000 ?

If so let me know...

I'm looking for an empty "shell" to put my SW.EP1 kit into.

Salut,
Steph

There was an RFM at auction a couple of auctions ago. It was missing quite a bit to get it back and running. Personally the lack of love for EP1 makes a good candidate price wise to buy complete if you really want the game. The aspect of saving real estate and doing a swap doesn't really make much sense to me. I can understand the concept of a swap commercially but for home use I would say just buy both if your enthralled with Pin2K.

He was probably thinking of buying the SW:E1 kit. That would run about $1,000 bucks or so. Personally I think he made the right choice -- if I had a RFM, I wouldn't bother with the kit. SW:E1 is just that bad.

I saw that one...

That was at the Starburst FUNLAND auction and Pin Tournament back in October or so..
(...the one alot of Ottawa/Montreal guys drove down to join )

Yah, that RFM was pretty banged-up...
The computer , driver board and monitor were all missing,
but the PF looked salvageable (...but dirty as hell with missing plastics ...),
and the cab was decent.

I was on a tight schedule to get back home
so I was not able to stick around to bid....

I later found out it sold for $300.

I would have been all over that for that price...

Oh well...,
...that's just one more machine I won't have to "store" at a buddy's place !

The one at the auction was bought by Mike Hanley, "Church of the Silver Ball". Last time I was at the Church he had 3-4 of these half empty P2K cabinets.

Steph: He may have a good cabinet for you.

I agree, I had a HUO SWE1 and it was a tough one to sell.

I would take an RFM that is complete except for the boards and monitor...

No, I was talking about the SWEI kit.
Sorry, but I'll keep an eye on an empty pin2K cabinet.
