Hi folks

Just thought I'd throw this out there.

There will be a few pinball league meets coming up in the next month and I thought, what if the owners were to switch their machines from 'free play' to 'pay' and the proceeds collected in order to be sent as a donation to Haiti.

Some good will come out of this in various ways:

1) Haiti will receive some much-deserved financial help

2) It can be a challenge between the league chapters to see who can come up with the highest donation amount

3) This could make an interesting story for local news and give MAACA some exposure

Please feel free to comment

What about just collecting funds at the door? Make the next league night a pay night? Say $5 per head. Looks like I'm having at least 14 people show up. Including me that's $75 right there. Just a thought.

I have HUO pins and won't put quarters through them, so the pay to play idea is a no go -- at least for me. I'd rather just collect the dollars and pass on the funds.

Oh sure, Duane... great segway to highlight the fact you have HUO pins!

I'm good with that idea as well, or even better, 'give what you can' might generate more

Sounds good to me. I'm cool with collecting the cash during the next league night. I only selected $5 as I figured most folks could easily afford that -- it's less than a crappy burger with fries at McD's . I wouldn't want to discourage folks form attending by asking for more. I like your idea of "give what you can".
