OMFG... just before I was to leave work, my boss called me in the office and counter-offered! 18% raise... holy mess...

advantages:

1- I do 40 hours a week, no pressure. (new job might be more hours)

2- my current boss is a fantastic guy (... really.)

3- I am highly respected in what I do.

Oh man... now I have to make a decision... so salary-wise, I would potentially still make more money with the other job, but it works by commission. Wjile my current job, being with a fixed salary, is less of a surprise.

Goddamn it... why isn't it ever easy...

Well... more news tomorrow. At 1:15pm, I meet with management from the other job to see what they offer, but I will tell them straight up what my current boss is offering.

Then I will go see my current boss and tell HIM what the others are offering, and to see what he can do to top it.

...the power of negotiation. You guys may think I am a shitty negotiator with my fire-sales, but I can make em sweat if I want to.
