Sure but are trying to say that Boston thought they'd get a first or second overall when they made the deal ? .. I don't think so .. it looked much more like a 6-10 but the Leafs stunk worse than could be expected.

Don't forget... they have 2 more 1st round picks to give to Boston!!! I never understood that move from Burke. Phil Kessel is slightly better than Wakey-Wakey-Jason-Blakey. I think that Burke did more damage with that move than that other douchebag Ferguson did. Burke's best players are the young ones and up-and-comers like Schenn and Kadri. Giving so much for a restricted free agent NEVER paid off. Ask Kevin Lowe about Dustin Penner. And you would think that Burke would have learned from that experience...

Unfortunately, it will take YEARS for that team to be good at best. Too much dead wood.

Sparky, it's actually both.  1st round (2nd overall) AND a second round (32nd overall).  Pleasure doing business with you Mr. Burke.

That is 100% true (or if they do randomly make a decent pick he gets shipped off ie Rask to Boston .. geesh) ... actually I'm significantly more optomistic that Burke can build a decent team here (it just depends on the Pension fund and all the would be GM's that get their fingers into the pie)

Well, good luck to Halak in the rest of the playoffs.  If he keeps this up he can win a Cup for sure, he's playing very well.  Halak definitely won the series, I can't believe Washington couldn't beat him.  I think Mtl as a team needs to step up, though, because they played like crap.

Goddamn it.  My tummy hurts even more.
