I got as many pics as I could of the massive arcade at Marineland.  Unfortunately, I only found it as we were leaving so I couldn't even play   .  Most of the space was used up by redemtion type games but there was alot of arcade games and some really nice pins that look like they've hardly been played.  Here's the pics.

Some pictures are repeats but I'll bet I only have pictures of less than half the total arcade.  Sorry about no pics of the redemption games for people who are into those things but like I said I was on my way out, literally running through, snapping pics.

One thing that surprises me about redemption halls now is the inclusion of "Penny Falls" or "Coin Pushers" out and out gambling (ok, there is some vague skill in timing and landing the coin where you want, but usually the coins drop into a maze that helps randomize it... don't get me wrong, I love these, and got hooked as a kid vacationing in Great Britain in the 70's (where you got to keep the pennies you earned).  I just wonder at how they managed to get by the Ontario lottery police.  At Wonderland you buy tokens.  Play with tokens and it spits out tickets if you "push" coins over into the win bin.  Then you take the tickets and feed them into a machine which turns them into a receipt, and then you take the receipt over to exchange for garbage Chinese plastic cr*p that's worth far less than you put in regardless (and you lose any "overages").  It's a wonder redemption gets played at all, but you do see the kiddies lining up.

I was just there on Thursday and ventured into the arcade when the family
was waiting for a show to start.  The pins were far from in good shape or clean
for that matter.  They had weak flippers and the Stargate had a post that had
fallen out of the playfield and was rolling around by the pop bumpers.

Nice collection yes - good condition?  Not even close.
The arcade is massive though, that's for sure.

Still good to see that row of pins in an arcade.  And I even enjoyed
playing for about 30 minutes, except for some weirdo practically looking
over my shoulder for about 10 minutes while I was playing.

I guess when you're done riding the Sky Screamer, and you've ridden it over again, you will need something else there to hold your attention...

I was there last year and, as slingshot said, all the pins were in really rough shape. I only had time to play a couple of games, but the ones I played were basically unplayable. Dirty, non-working or weak flippers, no GI, credit dots like you wouldn't believe, did I mention **dirty**?. Sad, really. Someone at some point went to a lot of hassle to put all those pins in that location, but it's clear nothing has been done to maintain them since they were placed there.

The arcade's location is kinda silly. It's right near the entrance to the park, but on the exit side, so it's not obvious. If you didn't know it was there, you probably wouldn't see it until you were ready to leave. And if you've just spent the day at the park and you have one or two tired young children with you, hanging around to play in the arcade probably isn't as much of a priority as it would have been first thing in the morning.
