I've been using this model of DMM for years and it's perfect for "our" purposes. I could never justify spending $200+ on a Fluke.
The only downside to these meters is that the tips of the leads break off occasionally, but CT sells replacement leads for this model for $2ish. I would suggest you grab a spare set of leads when you buy the DMM. Make *sure* you get the correct ones, though. It says on the bottom of the package what model they're for.
I agree, this is the best value for a DMM out there. Accuracy is 'good enough', and although they have a longer settling time than a Fluke, it's still reasonable unless you're doing a ton of measurements in succession. I'm pretty sure it takes standard 'banana' plugs, so you can easily upgrade the leads with something of higher quality if you wanted.

I broke one of my tips using it to pry up fuses. I don't do that anymore. What sucks is the red replacement wire I bought is kinda short and is shorter than the black so I have to be very strategic how I place the darn DMM.

Bah, all you cheapo's... just buy a quality one, once!
I bought cheap ones and was never happy until I got an entry level Fluke. No replacement parts yet and great customer service when I had an issue, direct out of the box.

Wait... I forgot the smiley....
When you're ready to upgrade and trade me your old one for a shooter rod, let me know.

Theres actually two on sale at CTire. Very similar both for $19.99, get the one thats pictured, as it also has a Cap tester for those who dont know how to test caps. In the real life an analog tester still is the best as the needle is far more sensitive than and LCD.
