Hi all,

Just received an email from Peter (copying a lot of us usual suspects from MAACA who have inquired
about his 13 as-is arcades/pinballs in Smith Falls ad on various Kijiji sites.

I had received an email from him earlier indicating he already had an offer of $1500 for the lot.
I find this hard to believe...

I definitely will pass, but curious to hear comments from others.

Good luck & cheers.
- Sylvain.

Here's the email that was sent to all of us who had inquired about the ad, along with pics (see above post).
Posting here since already a lot of us were on the distribution list, and the ad is all over Kijiji in various cities,
thus is not a secret.  Hopefully the discussion will be seen as and kept positive, and may actually help the
seller  liquidating the whole lot in one shot.

'looking for the best offer on the whole lot, or on  1 or more machines. These are located in smiths fall at the
smiths fall flea market. Machines have been sitting for a very long time about 25 to 30 years and need alot of
work. I don't think they are working but I haven't tried them out and won't due to the time spent sitting. there
have been mice in the 2 star trip pinballs.
thanks, for the intrest.'

...Some interesting titles, however the shape of the machines is certainly not great for most...
I have enough projects

Cheers,
- Sylvain.

The PacMan has 4 extra buttons on the CP
which leads me to believe that it might NOT be a Pac PCB at all
but rather some quick conversion to an entirely different game.

The cab looks to be in very good shape,
but the lack of "hand wear" on the sides further
strengthen my belief that the game was converted
to something else (shooter game ? ) which required both hands...

$1500 seems high for games that have been stored outisde under a tarp for 25+ years
(..with rodent poop, mildew, severe water damage and other likely contaminants ...)

A few interesting titles, but the cost and effort to restore would be folly.

$300-$400 tops...,  assuming the boards are not all rusted to mess...

Steph

Never seen a cocktail Space Zap.  What an addicting game.

Star Trip pins as mouse houses?  That sounds about right.

If any/all have their original guts, and the cabs aren't swelled up, they should be worth saving.  Some decent titles to be sure.

I spoke with the seller this afternoon (he sells DVDs at the Stittsville
flea market (Richie's Feed & Seed) on Carp Rd on Sundays.

Apparently the following machines have been sold for the prices indicated:
- PacMan ($300),
- Galaga ($200),
- Asteroids (not sure which one(s) ($200),
- two Star Trip pins ($50 ea),
- one more, cannot recall.

Apparently 7 machines are left, $400 for the remaining lot.
(I am still passing, but someone here might be interested).

Cheers,
- Sylvain.
