I think I going to get married. Just have to pop the question. She likes pinball too or is that just the hook?

yep.  if they are into the collection and pick out their own pins even.  then they are a keeper for sure.  my lady took me to starbust back in our first years together.  she saved up all her tips and we walked away with 11 machines.  all vids but it was the start of something beautiful.  she is great  as well.

even if she  didn't like pinball, she is a keeper. I told her that i would thin the collection out. 25 pins down to 18. i hope i can handle it, i might have a little room to walk in the game basement.

On a lighter note,  I had to explain to my wife that the glass on the machine is tempered and yes it will support her weight and no we wont have to pull shards of glass out of her a**. That's the kinda appreciation for pinball I like my woman to have.  Ha ha...just kidding.

Took 2 tries for me to get the right wife...but I did. If you get along without a lot of arguing and she doesnt irritate you alot then you have a good shot, IMHO. Oh, and also she doesn't bust your balls constantly.

Tolerance is very important.

Good luck!

Pin in the dining room here too and another 16 packed away here and there.  Very tolerant spouse, obviously.  But after 21 years, you have enough dirt on each other to get what you want.

My wife endured my insanity of buying/selling for 3 years, so she either loves me for some reason or is completely insane herself. Ironically its her that started me back into getting personal machines again, but not because she loves Pinball. Its all about how the basement looks, and even though she never plays, she did like the "coolness" that 4 pins gave to the room. Hey whatever it is I'm cool with as long as I have machines again!

Rebuilding...currently Scared Stiff, Guns N'Roses, Bally Harley Davidson, Fish tales, Slugfest, JVL Conquest standup, and a Wurlitzer Juke.

My wife doesn't like pinball, but she likes me. I think that's probably the more important issue.

My view is it's better to have a wife that tolerates pinball. I would be running away rapidly if she stuck with you for your pinball collection.

May I recommend that you don't... last thing we want is for you to get mad again and start pissing in your hot tubs, singing "Pinball Whizzer... uh... Wizard!"

lol  Congrats Stan! Nice to see you have some good news!!!

I tell you, it will happen one day. My outdoor deck is 28 feet by 19 feet. There is a corner section that is SCREAMING for a spa... My wife is also considering it because a pool is nearly impossible in our yard. We have huge trees all around, including an apple tree that dumps on our yard every 2 years. I would constantly be cleaning a pool. A spa is wonderful... just put the top on.

played some hockey last night, tweaked the back a bit, came home, sat in the hot tub for about 20 minutes, a few Heinekens, and voila, good as new.
Get the tub Sparky!

Also, Hardkor, not sure what your wedding plans are but highly recommend going to somewhere warm and sunny, with sand and ocean. I got married in Mexico and it was fabulous.
We "eloped" so it was perfect, none of the wife's girlfriends around to cause a fuss!
Congrats to both of you!

Now I know why I got a Discount on the tubs. Oh well, enough chlorine will kill anything, besides the alcohol level probably exceded the urine anyway which must be good for the pumps.

If you do eventually get the hot tub you can always play bobbing for apples in there. Sorry but I just could not help myself.
