I would also keep 2 lanes but place a few bowler games in that areas in the rough lanes.

Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.

Just joking, but yes. Not going with the bowling alley either, too much upgrades , and the pinsetters are all gone

The bowling lanes would probably be a pain to maintain, and be costly to get running. But... oddly enough, just the fact that they are there kind of lends itself to a true arcade environment! Most people of our generation played arcade games and pinball at bowling alleys. I personally have fond memories of when my mom was part of a bowling league, and on her league nights, she would bring me along and hand me a few bucks in quarters. Good times...

If you dont decide to run the bowling lanes, I would personally leave them there, fill in the gutters to make them flat with the alley surfaces, and make it a themed section, like all EM arcade games there, or all pinballs there... It makes for a cool pinball environment! Plus, it is a bit darker there, so it sets itself up great for pinball!

I was thinking of taking that place as well, and keeping the hardwood floors, I know what you mean about the whole bowling alley motif, but it is a basement, and the outside of the plaza is, for lack of a better word  , decrepit. Not really a family atmosphere if you know what I mean. Right upsatirs is a patio with a bunch of rummys and crackheads as well. Did I also mention it is in Scarborough! The price is slightly higher there as well, but the thing that really turned me off of the place was that he insisted it was 7200 sq ft, and was pricing it according to that. In fact the usable portion was no greater than 4000 sq ft and when adding all the nooks and crannys, and stairs it would maybe make it to 5000 sq ft. So essentially he wanted us to pay for 2200 sq ft of "phantom space" lets call it. The other space is bright, clean, right by transit, the highway, there is possibility for signage right on lakeshore blvd, it basically is in move in condition, and it has a roll up , insulated, door. Price is fair as well.Parking is available in the lot too.

My advice...skip Scarborough, it wont attract people ffrom other parts of town due to the "so called" stigma. Location is er....EVERYTHING.

I agree.

Downtown will be closer to the tourists and people from out of town.
