Remember that there are people way richer than you and I in the world. Yes, that is a crazy $2k+ price for a $600 unit but the buyer could be some wealthy guy in Beverly Hills or Silicon Valley California and that price is nothing to them for being the first one to have the console around his city. Threat? What do I care if someone hates video games. No harm to me. I am just saying that Stern could only wish he could earn income like one of these consoles will earn. So being sarcastic about never having heard of it is just silly humor.

Hope your not still thinking of buying one just to resell it on ebay. With the sale of the Japanese PS3's, the prices on ebay are much lower now. Pretty much all the PS3's for sale in Canada through ebay are only making 300-400max over the original price. And that is for people with a confirmed machine at the moment. There will be a hell of a lot more machines for sale on ebay starting Saturday. That will bring the price down more to pretty much cost (or just above cost). The highest priced PS3 on ebay right now, in Canada (that has bidders), is only at $1300CDN. And the system cost the guy $912CDN to buy. Almost $400 is pretty good, but expect that profit to decrease once another couple thousand are put up on ebay. For all the trouble of standing in line you will do, taking time off of work (loosing money there), in the end you might only make $100-300. |
