I just returned from Northern On, and have worked out a bulk deal for some arcade games, arcade parts, boards, backglasses, a few PF's etc. I am keeping some games out of the batch and quite a few boards that I need. The rest is priced accordingly, with the shipping to Toronto from up North factored in. Let me know by PM if you want any of this, and as the last time, the payment by interac email money transfer, or cash is what I would prefer. No paypal, sorry.

Hey Gerald,

In your list of keepers, you have an "Avenger".  Is that the Defender bootleg by chance?

That's an oddball alright.

I can roll Defender and at the time I played an Avenger when both were out. You know the game lags like crazy and warps things off the screen eh? It's not up to snuff for gameplay compared to the real deal. Still an interesting piece.

They used to be all over the place in these parts.  I think the game was actually a Canadian bootleg (if that's what he's got).  I used to play it a ton, but you're right, the lag was ridiculous.  Defender was/is definitely superior.  I used to be able to roll Defender too - played it a couple months back and broke the 900k mark, but stopped just short of the free man bonanza...

Anyhow, if it's a Defender/Avenger, I'd like to see it.

Free man bonanza takes you to no man bonanza until 300,000 from what I recall.

It's been a while but, from what I remember, that was it for free men....  990,000 to 1M you'd get a man for any point earned then, nothing after that.  Perhaps you would get free men again, but there would be so many racked up by that time, there was no way to tell other than the audio cues.  I'll have to try it out some day when I've got the time to focus.

Gerald, why don't you just drop that Avenger off at my place next time by???

You know Mark, if anyone I know would appreciate it, it would be you. If I change my mind about keeping it, you're # 1 on the list. Maybe I'll drop it off to you until a point where I get a permanent physical location , rather than letting it sit in a warehouse ???

I would just like to see pics of it. It's been a very long time since I've laid eyes on one.

The trick to putting up the high score was strategically kamikazing into various enemies noting their point value to get 999,975. Then hyperspacing off the remainder while crossing your fingers you don't get any collisions.
