I didn't beleive it! I was shopping on Ste-Catherine street Friday night when I entered the arcade near Crescent. I discovered 2 BRAND NEW machines to play: Family Guy and Pirates of the Caribbean, virgin and unspoiled! Both are very fun to play. Hurry before they start to fall apart! Pascal
Wonder where the Sopranos went, it was extremely dirty but fully functional...
I found it actually had a weak flipper. If people played it a while it got tough to get the ball up a ramp. I think it was the right flipper. I quit playing it cause of that a few months ago. Maybe they fixed it since.
I'll be in the area tomorrow evening & will check the new pins out for sure.

Got to play both games today at lunch time. I found both played great and worked 100%. the FG's flippers were strong on my games and I had no problems making any of the shots. They were not as strong as my LOTR flippers though. Had one really good game where I managed to move up in the different modes, played fart multiball, another mode where all the members were vomiting! another mode where Stewie is being chased by scantilly dressed ladies and stewie multiball where a multi-ball is running at the same time as the mini playfield!! Can't comment on the depth of the rules since it's the first time I've played it (I assume it will be deep enough for home use given Stern's recent efforts), however the physics of the game were awesome. The ball flowed very well during my games and the mini-playfield was actually fun. Based on my preliminary experience, this one looks like a thumbs up, and will be putting some more time on it. When I first arrived at the gameroom, a fellow was playing it and I had asked him how he liked it (thinking maybe he may have been a maaca member). After telling me how awesome the game was, he asks me if I'm a "pinball designer" . He thought I designed the game and was surveying players... Anyhow, good for a laugh and definitely not a maaca member... Great to see decent pinball on location in MTL. With the fees imposed by the provincial govt, it definitely is a rarity.
I went to check them out also on Fri night. At first I thought that the '3 Jetons' was kind of steep to play a game of pinball. But then, I got so many free credits/replays on both machines and therefore it wasn't so bad at all (Replays are easy to get still I guess due to lower scores).
Family Guy is a game in which you have to like the cartoon in order to enjoy the game. The mini pinball is cute but not too exciting as one would expect. The shots in general are simple and no real thrill or fun in any of them. I still don't understand how the graphics on the plastics can be pixelated (these are cartoon pictures and not high color pictures such as those on POTC plastics for example).
POTC is nice. It gets a bit repetitive though (after I got to the Wizard mode on the second game I played).
Machines were nicely leveled and so clean indeed.
I still think that LOTR is the best modern STERN pinball machine by far. I don't believe Spider-Man will beat LOTR in terms of play rules/quality in the end....
The highlight of the night was this 30 year old guy (chubby) on the DDR machine who was just incredible and kicking the young teenagers asses on that game! Talk about footwork (forget Rocky!).....

Call me Spanky... cuz I spanked them teenagers at their own game!!!
...yeah.... right...
Hey Marty... just remember one thing... I play better when I am drunk, and I was pretty shitfaced that night, so needless to say, I SUCK AT DDR!!!! There is a video somewhere that proves it, and I am SURE that some charming member will gladly dig it up somewhere and repost it!
Yeah its a one trick pony and has the footprint of a 6 person spa. But man would that be fun to own.
