I mean from a consumer point of view this is good, I just bought $100 in parts from pinball life. Assuming I got the current exchange rate (which I won't cause banks and CC companies tack on service charges) my order would cost $99.99 CAD. That seems like a good thing from my side of the view as the consumer.

Wrong way ... If it cost you $100 before now it would cost you $102 or $103

Strange basically all english currencies verus the USD any gotten hit as have the EUR and CHF but for whatever reason the Mexican Peso is basically unchanged as is the Yen

I was sitting on a chunk of USD and waiting for a day like this. Just got back from the bank! Trouble was the day I began this waiting game the CDN dollar was worth less than it is now even after the fall, so I'd have been better to exchange it that day! You really never know where this will swing. Its pure gambling really.

Ya, if it's so obvious that the US dollar will dive, then why hasn't it dived already? Its current value is just based on perception anyways. If it's so easy to predict currencies/stocks/interest rates etc then why are the experts being paid for their advice? Why don't they just invest and retire as millionaires?
