Here is one for all you RBION owners...

Is it normal for the damn scoop hole to throw the ball straight between the flippers and in the trough 50% of the time? The one I have has a cliffy on it and I wonder if it isn't that that is causing the problem. I tried realigning the curved plate that guides the ball on it's way out, but effect was minimal.

Ideas?

the hole should never throw it down the middle.

The cliffy could be causing the problem if it has some play on it.

The weldement scoop will be the main culprit though, if it's warped all to hell it is going to affect the way the ball comes out of the hole.

Hmm... I straightened it out a bit, but I will look into giving it a negative curve instead.

I know the one you have Had it at my house and it did that at first. Turned out it wasn't level. I think once you level it, all will be good.

Check and see if the weldement is dented yet.  Once they are dented and warped unless you severely change the angle of the scoop there is very little you can do.

On my RFM the weldement became dented and the ball was random as hell, I really had to bend the hell out of the scoop to get it at all reliable, in the end I just ended up replacing it.

Hi,

I have a cliffy and recently I have started to experience the same problem. I have not looked into it but I believe it is how the kicker is hitting the ball. I have not looked at it but that is where I am going to start. Right now it only happens about one every 50 times.

Let me know if you learn anything.

Drew

The best part is that Sparky is so well rounded. The musical Cats framed on the wall...culture culture culture

Hey... don't knock the poster... . I paid that 150$US in 1991. I went to see Cats in NYC and I bought that signed by all the cast members, all proceeds going to an AIDS charity. I gave it to my mom. She asked me if she could put it there.

Not knocking it. I have been to musicals, operas, art museums as well as truck and tractor shows, car races, beer tents, etc. it is good to be well rounded and experience as much as possible, some of the things suck where others are great. I was just pointing out that you are just that...simply complex. To top it off your comment on why people choose not to vote in the HST thread was very well thought out.

Simply complex... I like that. My wife calls me brilliantly nuts, my mom calls me a stupid genius, and mensa calls me a member.

Go figure.
