In addition to the package from tijacquesx, I also received a delivery from Marco Specialties. Their flat rate shipping of $29.95 doesn't seem so bad if you get a lot of stuff. Unfortunately they sent some wrong fuses, wrong capacitors, and wrong ROMs.
The power supply is about half upgraded now, didn't bother to take pictures. It can't be completed until the missing capacitors arrive, but there is plenty of other stuff to do...
Playable Now: Centaur II, Doctor Who, High Speed. Playable Soon: Breakshot, Sorcerer Later: Flash, Genie, Seawitch Fondly remembered: Firepower
All the parts have now been removed from the top of the playfield. Only 4 items required desoldering: the outhole kicker, and the 3 pop bumpers. All the parts are dirty and some are badly worn. Lots of work for another day.
The playfield has received a light cleaning with isopropyl alcohol, most of the surface dirt is now gone. Next step will be mylar removal around the pop bumpers and in front of the slingshots, followed by magic eraser.
Marco's sent me Green flipper ROMs (IC17, IC20) and a Yellow game ROM (IC14). They say compatible. Clay say not. Wonder who's right? I'm definitely wishing I bought a burner and some blanks instead...

My info has the Green roms at IC20 and IC27.
And I don't have a color code for the game rom (IC14). There should only be just one verison of the game rom.
PM me if you'd like me to help you out with these...
Also remember the game ROM (IC14) *must* match the correct color flipper ROMs. And some games had a different game ROM for different flipper ROM colors. For example, Flash, which had a very long production, has a yellow flipper game ROM (system4), and a green flipper game ROM (System6). This happened because Flash's production was so long, some Flash games used System6 boards. Now it does not matter which game ROM is used. That is, a Green (system6) Flash game ROM can be used in a System4 CPU board (or vice versa). But the Green Flash game ROM *must* be used with Green flipper ROMs, and a Yellow Flash game ROM *must* be used with Yellow flipper ROMs!

The missing capacitors arrived this week and I finished rebuilding the power supply. Most of the components on the board are new except for the ceramic disc capacitors and the transistors. Display section has been reduced to 91V.
Repair of the master display board required a bit of creativity to bridge the damaged areas. Not very pretty, but hopefully it will work ok. Everything checks out with the multimeter. One of the burnt holes had to be drilled through, there was a bit of component leg in there that just would not come out.
The master display board has a modification which I have not seen documented. But it appears on my Firepower as well as in pictures on pinrepair. Can anyone explain its purpose? There is a cut trace and a bridge.
Also according to the schematic, the diode in this picture is installed backwards. But maybe that's related to the mod? Firepower is the same. However it's a different diode type. How can I confirm whether this one is appropriate? The full part number written on it is MZP4740A.
