Quoted from MrMikeman
The original message said I didn't like his TACTICS.  WTF???  I never said he was a crook ot a thief.  This is like playing the friggin phone game where everything gets twisted.

Mike

I agree here... Pat is not in the least bit in the same category as Stephen Anderson. That is wrong. I respect Pat and he has his way of doing business, and there is nothing illegal in his methods. His approach is more relative to a sales approach than an collector's approach, and there is nothing illegal nor wrong with that. This post was merely based on a difference of opinion and a personal dispute... nothing more. If people start complaining about games they paid too much for, it is their problem alone. Unjustified criticism is exactly that... unjustified. That is one of the reasons that caused Jim to leave, remember?

I admit openly to have overpaid for a few games in my life... am I bitter? Nope... because ultimately, I took the decision to buy.

Guys, I am sure that if you contact Pat and meet with him to take a look at a game and negotiate a price with him, you will most probably not have a problem. Can the machine you get have an issue? Yes... but that is regardless who sells it. Stuff breaks. And Pat doesn't hide the fact at all that he is not a collector, thus does not take a lok at every single wire and connector on a machine to see if it is OK.

And as for the original argument, there is a buyer for everything. I personally don't find a Demo Man at 1800 to be excessive. At 4000$ for that specific machine, then I would have raised an eyebrow... but Mike's machine was impeccable. And also, Pat is right, some DMs sell for 1200-1300, but that would be a route-pin.

Guys, Pat and Mike have discussed this... let's just move on to something else before it degenerates any further...

I vote to go in the same direction as Machine-Slave.

I like Turtles... but I prefer a good Snickers bar myself.  Mmm

Retiring soon...
