Well, it's a work in progress, but I'm getting close. I moved in April 15th. As one would expect tons to do. Gameroom has been way down the list. After a month without playing any of my own pinballs, I had to get to it.

My wife offered to paint it this weekend and she was making great progress until she feel down the stairs on Sunday evening. A trip to emergency confirmed she has a tear in her tendon. Could have been alot worse and I'm glad she is alright.

Room is about 50% painted. I just finished steam cleaning the carpet I could get to.

The old colours were hideous. The basement looked really dark and depressing. At first, I thought the colours were pink and green. After putting the yellow down, we could see the colours were actually a sort of plum and an aqua green-blue. You can see the old colours in the pics below.

I've gone a really nice and bright pallete. Yellow with purple accents. Looks amazing!

A real pain in my a$$ has been the free universal gym I got. The owner left it behind. I know I am going to love it in the winter, but right now it's costing me a lot of moving room.

I'm hoping to move the games tomorrow, steam clean the rest of the carpet, finish the painting and start setting up by the weekend.

Good luck to you wife in the recovery.  Looks like there's lots of room for a gameroom there.  Speaking from experience - get rid of that gym now - it'll just get in the way...    ..I have a C2 rower and treadmill to try to sell...

First update...two feet forward and one back. The carpet has lifted in a couple of places as a result of the steam cleaning. Son of a bee. I wasn't sure what to do, but my wife, even injured, had the answer Going to fill a syringe with glue and shoot the trouble spots then put weights down to compress. This won't get done until the games are set up

Sorry to hear about the wife, but glad to hear she will be OK.

Let me know when it is done, would love to see it the next time I am in town.

BTW, Congrats on the new house!

Home gym needs to find a new home. That's taking up valued space. Besides you should have gotten enough exercise moving games around by now.

Hey Duane,

if you are going to get buff this winter you won't have time to play pins. So you might as well start selling them (and buy a Wii Fit).

Tom.

Pins owned:
Bally - Twilight Zone (1993)
Williams - Star Trek The Next Generation (1993)
Bally - Scared Stiff (1996)
Stern - Lord of the Rings (2004)
