Yah, I'd be curious to know what you think of it. I tried one at the local Costco, but being a vid "purist" , it didn't do much for me... Keep us posted. Cheers, Steph |

No Problem with the help Hardkor, My Pleasure. I still think that is a pretty slick package. The Menu's are great, the ability to add games to the "Favorites" is pretty cool and makes sorting through the games easy. I think for the price, it is a very nice package!
With your 48 in one cocktail and the Mame on the projector, You can go back to buying Pins!! (So I can buy them from you later!)

I play Robotron on that machine at Costco whenever I'm there. I find the video emulation to be excellent, but playing with microswitch joysticks makes the game much more clunky and difficult to maneuver. Still, I put up the high score every single time. |

Tried it too, and I thought for the money it was a good deal.
I have to say though I am with Steph. I like the original stuff. To me it's the nostalgic factor. Original Williams. Good or bad, that's the way I like it.
For Stargate and Defender, you just can't get away with anything less than the real McCoy. |

I'm a big fan of the Missile Command arcade game. How's the Missile Command game compare to the original with the larger launch buttons. |

Vids quickly loose my attention also, hence the pins only collection. I bought a Playstation2 for the family, but it never gets used. The silverball rules in my house!! |

Pinball also rules here, despite having a PS2 - arcade video games get the occasional nod from the SO. They personally frustrate me. Slot machines and Pachinkos were king here for a while, but now they get only passing interest (the Pachinkos more than the slots) from those other than myself. All that being said, we had access to a WII over Christmas and I will say that we're on the hunt for one, and it's likely to revolutionize video game systems in that it seems to have something for everyone. The more they come up with amazing home game features, the quicker will die the arcade video games, except for sit-in driving games (The WII will surely eclipse the Golden Tee which is the arcade game of choice for bars right now). |
