Don't do it! You'll end up removing paint and have another touch up project on your hands. Personally, I don't mind some bubbling on the mylar. Beats the heck out of a total restore if the mylar removal goes badly.
I kept my old Fire! pf just to try some various techniques. The problem then becomes if one works better than anouther on the Fire! pf, what's to say the FH one is precisely the same?
I thought about it before on a previous game and didn't. This one isn't horrible by any means but I have seen pics of one done and the results are impressive if it works out.
Here are games I would like to acquire this year, or sometime...
24 Iron Man Attack From Mars Prefer Pounded playfield! Monster Bash Prefer Pounded Playfield! Elvis Sopranos Batman Forever Spider-Man Stern Prefer Pounded Playfield!
Have these available for trade or possible sale: Corvette South Park Theatre of Magic Twilight Zone RFM/SW:EP1 Nucore Combo AFM
Just strip it, and send it to playfield renovations, Bill Davis or ??, and sit back and wait 6-9 months. Then reassemble.
Just don't get caught up with the FH repro stuff you can buy to make it a collector machine as no one will pay that price when you go to sell it (talking from experience here).
But them spankin new clear with no damage repro (2) ramps with Cliffy Protectors all around are sooooo sweeet man :>)
When's the next game night gonna be? Brian
I don't have a small penis, she has a HUGE girl private- Larry David
Personally I would leave it as-is. Don't bother with the strip and spend $$$ to clear coat it. Better to buy a repro playfield, install, and save the original if that's the route you want to go. Just be sure you want to keep it as you will have alot of dollars invested with either route.
BTW, I would also be interested in buying it (later on when you tire of it) should you leave it original It really does look nice.
The pf really isn't bad, and the ramps don't need replacement. This is a pretty damn good condition machine as she stands. Just needs some TLC.
The guy (who I think is full of mess) told me he had it on route for 3 months and put it in the house thereafter. Now it doesn't look like a 3 month route machine because the black is worn on the coin slots, but somewhere in there is some reality of this thing not being run through the ringer.
