Quoted from The Loafer
It certainly backs up the "non-profit" mentality we see around here.

That's a good point, I think I just contradicted myself..  lol!

At any rate, Dan really wanted it so I doubt he'd be selling any time soon.  And it's really up to him whether he wants to spill the beans or not.

Anyway, back to the point.  It was a great find...

Thats a really cool and unique find. Wish I had a big insulated backyard shop...I'd grab them all!

The translite art is pretty simple, not the usual Bally. There must be a story behing that one at Bally.

Some detective out here could probably find out, I'm sure. Good go dude!

Took a minute on IPDB to see how many times Bally released a machine with a very low production number in the 70's EM to 80' SS era. There are only a handful. Must just be a SKU that didnt hit its market at the time.

One of the funniest IMHO is "Gay Cruise" from the late 60's. Not to offend anyone, but that sounds like something that takes place in certain bars in Toronto on a regular basis.

Quoted from McMean
Is a 1972 Bally 'Fore'... only 80 ever produced. And I own one!

I have to give the HUGEST thanks to MSlave, who wrote me at work to let me know about a pin he saw listed in Fenelon Falls (about an hour from my house). He gave me a call, passed on the details, and said he'd be interested if I wasn't, but he let me have it.

It's not working, it's been painted a god-awful teal, but the PF and BG are in fantastic shape. I haven't removed the BG, but from the front it looks 10/10. The PF has some wear around the pop bumpers, nothing too bad.

As far as I/Brock could guess, this was a prototype that never made it past the first routed test of 80 machines. What an EM to add to my collection! I found the number 47 in marker on the cab, so I guess that might have been it... good ole number 47 off the line!

I'm ecstatic over this pin. Only 80 ever produced, how many do you think are still in existence? And how many have such amazing preservation?

Check out the quick pics (and especially the racks on those players!)

Thanks Brock!

Seems like a nice game!
I've owned many rare games...but never as rare as this one, could you post a few pics so we can see too?
Nice find and you were also lucky to get so close from your house!

I do find it odd that when someone is excited about a find the first question is 'how much?'  I didn't deliberately leave the price out of the first post, that was a total oversight.  But now that there's an air of mystery....well, I'll leave it at that.    If/when I sell it, I'd also be more worried about keeping it in a good community than a few bucks.  This baby is stamped #13 out of 80.

When/if you ever sell it you might want to go through the adoption screening process with any potential takers. Ha ha.
