Wow, that was one of the most shallow articles on the topic I've ever read, it reads like a high school student wrote it. And why write an article like that 4 years after these consoles have been on the market?
A friend of a friend of mine worked on Assassin's Creed. Originally it was supposed to be a PS3 exclusive, but they had a lot of trouble getting it to perform well. So just before E3 they ported it to the 360 (took only a few days) and it performed beautifully, so they demoed on the 360s instead. No more was it a PS3 exclusive. Apparently that's a common story in game development. The PS3 may be theoretically more powerful, but a game has to be tailor made to use the crazy cell processor to take advantage. The 360 is relatively easy to get full performance out of, hence why most dual platform games run better on the 360 (FFXIII excluded, but it sucks anyways).

interesting read, thanks for that Adam. I've never really argued the PS3's superior hardware, it's their execution, shoddy controller and overall presentation that I find lacking.
Sure, I pay for my online gaming.. but their online experience is sooooo much better, IMO.
Still, they both have their pros and cons. I'd probably play the PS3 a lot more if I didn't hate their controller so much (and if their used prices were on par with 360 games).
One thing that 360 and PS3 fanboi's can agree on though.. the Wii sucks poop!

Same reason I use a Mac instead of Windows

I personally really like the PS3 controller layout, the Xbox 360 one seems so big and bulky, PS3 one fits nicely in my hands, plus I've been playing playstation from the beginning so anything else just kinda feels odd.
End of the day I'm not a fan boy, PS3 does what I want and I like it, but I get why other people like Xbox360, it's just not the console for me.
But yes 100% the Wii sucks!
I'm not even sure I'm going to bother with Move, I mean I bought a Wii when it came out, played it for a week, and then never played it again. I figure the same thing will happen if I buy Move.
They are both as cheap as dirt for what you get in the box. Just buy both and you can use the PS3 for a massive paperweight whilst you play the console that has all the desired titles written for it.
At this juncture who gives a crap about hardware specs. Buy the system that supports the games you want to play. Both are equally capable of providing satisfactory entertainment.
I can't really argue with the consoles.. with the lack of exclusives these days, it's really down to personal preference and I can respect whatever choice you may have
Wish I could say the same about Macs and PC's I think Doom just came out for the Mac, though... that's exciting!

I wish everyone would use the 360 so I could have more friends to play with on Live

That's not the first time I've heard that scenario-I get the impression that the ps3 dev tools are pretty craptacular. I've never played with a 360 dev kit, but I have toyed around with XNA, and in general Microsoft dev tools are top notch. Really, the contrast is that Sony is a hardware company, and Microsoft is a software company. Sony has some very cutting edge and innovative hardware, and Microsoft came up with a better operating system, network infrastructure, and tools. Simple example-a firmware upgrade on the Xbox downloads an incremental patch, and completes in less than a minute. A firmware upgrade on the ps3 downloads the entire OS every time, and takes probably 10 times longer. Patching a game is the probably the same difference. The last ps3 game I played (Heavy Rain), took an OS patch, a game patch, and a game install, which meant maybe half an hour (or longer) to get to playing the game from putting the disc in. It's a small thing, but I think it's indicative of the whole experience.
That being said though, I do find that the ps3 is a better media box for local stuff, and I like using it for downloaded video. Streaming tends to work better to the 360 though-the ps3 just drops connection to the media server much more often.
