After a 7.5-hour drive and very little sleep, I'm back at work...
I had a GREAT time in Allentown...
There were many MAACA members there like TwilightZone and Spacecadet28 (well...we drove together ), My brother (MrMikeman), MrHide, Pinball Wizard, Medvet, Splitskull and a few that I may have missed...
I bought one machine: (Yes, I have the topper for it)
I picked it up on the Friday inside the show and put it in the 'free play' area for Saturday and Sunday...
It got 185 plays on SAT and 95 on SUN.
The 'Flea Market Area' sucked due to the rainy weather...
My brother and I kicked A$$ on the 'double-flip' tourney...which was on a CFTBL (hehehe)
The deals were few and far between...I got a GREAT deal on mine and Duane picked up a SWEET HUO Jurassic Park in the Flea Market on Friday.
Now I can't wait for Chicago...and see 'Le Lutin' again...

Current 'working' lineup: ( 2 ) Flipper Football, The Shadow
Gone but not forgotten: ( 22 ) City Slicker, Dirty Harry, CFTBL, Big Shot, Big Guns, Black Rose, Judge Dredd, Indianapolis 500, Big Game, BS: Dracula x 2, Beat the Clock, Fire!, F-14 Tomcat, Getaway, Breakshot, Cheetah, Meteor, El Dorado, Nitro Ground Shaker, Chexx Hockey, Slugfest
I was there Saturday from ~11 to closing... only 30 min break to grab some food
I meett a few MAACA members and play lots and lots of pins. Flea Market sucked on Saturday due to the rain... But I liked the new space here at Fairgrounds; bigger than the one they had before. Also AC didnt seem to be a probl this year(maybe the fact that outside was cool-ish helped too). Prices were all over... some good deals, and some other crazy wayy out prices. SInce I didn't go there to buy a pin, I don't remember any of the $$$. Like usual, almost all the "usual suspects" were there with parts and good prices.
Enjoyed your JD frosken plays great
I left for Montreal early Sunday since I didn't want to arrive after midnight, so dunno how was on Sunday.
I'll post a few pics as soon as I can remember my webshots pass... hehehe
Williams F-14 DE WWF Royal Rumble Stern T3 Williams Time Warp Bally Party Zone
You didn't miss much on Sunday...there were only about half of the games left
I heard great deals in the Saturday Flea Market Area, like a RoadShow for 1400, a Dr. Who for 850 and a Pinbot for 650.
As Splitskull said, the new venue was great...way more games and parts vendors, and a bit cooler than the old spot.
The best time for 'deals' are Early Friday and Late Sunday (EARLY Saturday for the flea)
One 'pet peeve' was the 'bathroom tipping', but if you crossed the road to the Farmer's Market, you had access to great food, a pay phone, an ATM, and FREE bathrooms! (Unfortunately, it was closed on Sunday)

This was my first Allentown show and I was really impressed. There was a HUGE selection of games to play, and most played fairly well. I found Friday was the best day to shop and play -- that's when I grabbed my HOU JP! At last a HOU only game!
Saturday was busy, but that was expected so no biggie. I used the first hour of Saturday to walk the flea market and recover from the night of boozing with Frosken and SpaceCadet before braving the hordes inside
In terms of deals, there were alot of reasonably priced EMs and a few early to mid-80s SS games for a fair price. If you are looking for a specific title you are likely to find it there. For example, anyone try to find a Funhouse locally? Damn difficult, yet there were 2 there for under $1,800 USD. If you were insanely wealthy, you could have the fully restored one, bargain priced at over $4,500 USD! Ouch. Also, there were really nice examples of many titles -- price accordingly. There was a beautiful Taxi. Man, I love that game. I have never seen a nicer one, but it was priced at $1,200 (at the end of the show, it started at $1,500 USD).
You also cann't forget the vendors. There was a good selection of vendors and I left with a ton of parts and except for the outhole protectors for my JP (don't want any wear to show up) won't be ordering for a while.
If you haven't been to the Allentown show, I recommend it!
Also enjoyed the show alot! Nice company, nice games and all...
Picked-up a sweet Ripley's beleive it or not! You would never imagine the sweet deal I got for that one...
This is my third Stern game and to think a few weeks ago I said my collection was done after my LOTR purchase... A well, I'm sure some of you guys were caught saying the same in the past.
Quote; "I swear to you darling, this is my last pin..." NOT!
I'm eagerly waiting for the Judge in my gameroom...

What am I saying??!! Me, buying another machine??!!
Awe man, that pin bug has really gotten me.......things will never be the same.....
First a Black Pyramid, then a Johnny Mnemonic, what next a NIB pin?
...Anything but a Sopranos.... I played it at Alouette's.... ugh... can't even hear what the fish is saying because the fish's mouth makes such a mechanical racket, you can't hear anything...
For those who don't know who "le lutin" is, well let's say he's "special"...
