One thing I'd like to add to my arcade collection (have been lusting for at least 15 years) is a crane / digger like this one: :WNA:US:1123">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA.....e=ADME:WNA:US:1123

We used to play it back in the 70's before the RCMP cleared Canada of them.  $2000 doesn't seem like a horrible price, but still it's a lot to put out for something that will mostly sit ther eand look pretty.  Sure wish I could find an old one in the back of someone's barn somewhere and bring it back to life!

Before I depart, I also want to restore and add to my collection (in order of lust): Skee Ball, Pokerino Game (not pinball), antique slots (50+ years old), another Fruit Machine (more recent vintage), Compton's Penny Falls (Penny Pusher), electronic bar dart game., nacho cheese pot (I already own a real popcorn machine - sees a lot of use at local charity functions).  I'm rather taken by "midway" coin-op games and penny arcade games.

One prized possession (though not a coin op item) I have is Shove Ha'Penny board that is quite an addictive bar game.

Enough about me, I was wondering what oddities other MAACA bretherin (and sisterin) collect, or would like to collect?

I'm just wondering

I like more of the odd machines too,

I have a Love tester, as well as the Atari Hoop it up redemption machine, and i also have an Alvin G Dinosaur Eggs, which apparently they only made 100 of, you dont have flippers but you tilt the playfield with 2 plungers, and ou get tickets at the end.

Other oddities i had was a silver falls coin pusher which is actually heading out, but i hope to replace it with a newer one soon.

Soem of my wish list things would be a skee ball machine, a whac-a-mole machine, and an addams family electric chair, where you strap yourself in and see how long you can hold on.

i like having the stuff most people don't have in their collections, maybe i'm just weird, who knows.

Eric

Gory: I regretfully turned down the Keeney originally, and the Monopoly was fun, just started getting on my nerves, taking up space and I kept having intermittent connector problems... I think the fruit machine I'm looking for is either something from the 70's or from the 90's the newer ones with lots of side games also appeals to me... but how to get it here!?  I could probably buy a container of UK stuff, things like Compton's Penny Falls and other Penny Arcade goodies could only come from there...but alas I must concentrate on debt reduction, not indebtedness.

Skee Ball (a game I love) requires the room to devote to it. I got it in my head a year or two ago to build my own "short" version.  I think I have almost every single "part" I need including a score glass bought a piece at a time from eBay.  All but the cabinet and carpet.  Maybe someday I'll haulout the tablesaw again (no room for it either)!  One guy in Rochester told me they go cheap there, in the $200's but he has yet to call me back with a sale.

Maybe he was talking about the havard roll-a-score game that walmart sell, 200$ of pure plastic

no they do tend to sell at auction for very cheap.  i got both of mine for $150 each.  i should have bought all three.  because they sold for alot more later.  but still when i resold them the buyers said the price i was asking was low compaired to most.
i remeber one starburst auction when they had four of them out back and none of them went for more then $300.   but that was almost a decade ago.

If anyone does know of an inexpensive Skee Ball, please do give me the heads up. I've only seen Pokerino (Pokereno) in the US, I used to play it at the PNE in Vancouver way back when, but I think they took them out when the card theme was considered a little too close to "gambling for kiddies".  http://www.weirsbeach.com/halfmoon/arcades/pennygames/pokereno.html (Sorry for hijacking my own thread).

I was hoping for more ideas from this thread of neat odd attractions to collect.

I would like to find a small shooter - I'm thinking of a really small 10cent shooter with the western-theme - I think you shot little bb's.   Kinda fun - and novelty.

I see those going in the States often for around $300ish, sometimes more here because they seem to be regularly scooped at Auction by Antique dealers (who over price everything).

I also thought of getting one of those. I think they are pretty cool, but not $300 cool. Had the chance to buy a couple locally (years and years ago) for $300 each and I told him the price was too high, I'd rather have an EM. Of course, they sold next day. Guess there is a market for them.

Penny pusher would be cool, but doubt I would give up the real estate of a pin for one.
