Not a massive restoration, but my Addams family siderails had been bent since I bought it about 2 years ago.  When I was at Expo I picked up some sexy Chrome Siderails and a new Chrome Lockdown bar.  This weekend I met up with maaca member shock_me for the first time and he got right in there in a big way helping me to get my first ever siderail replacement done!

BEFORE: The only pic I could find at work was form Halloween at my old apartment.  That's Joe who some of you may have met at the church of the Silverball in the Blues Brothers costume, BTW)  If you follow the rails you can see they were bent from being slammed too hard by the folded backbox while on route in it's previous life.

AFTER: The New Rails and lockdown bar installed.  Not only do they look better because they are straight, but the chrome plating leaves quite an impression in person.  I really dig them.  Super thanks to shock_me for the lesson and putting a halt to my procrastination.  Shiny!  



I got my chrome rails & lockdown from Z-Plating.  They did a total pro job as far as I'm concerned and were great to deal with.  Recommended!

But then again no one is allowed in my Slotcar/pinball room when i am not around.

Yep they're all in.  Looks pretty good.  Some of the flashers are blinding.

First pic was from Halloween, hence the indoor shades on my buddy.  That is in fact a life sized Darth Maul, no Power Rangers I'm afraid.  Someday I'd like to get some kinda mannequin for the Stormtrooper armour in my avatar though.

Are these rails and lock down bars chrome plated stainless or chrome plated steel?  If they are chrome plated steel they will look like the Bally 6803 rusted lock down bars over time.

Chrome plated stainless.  Just everyday replacement rails and lockdown from Marco Specialties, though the z-plating guy will plate pretty much any part you send him.
