Those *&^$#% Habs make me want to vomit.    You can go ahead and insult me all you want, I've heard it all before - I'm a Leafs fan.

Trust me, I already know the Leafs suck.  But what I also know is that a team outshot 54-22 makes my tummy hurt.    Halak tonight sure did remind me of Roy.... who also made my tummy hurt.

GO LEAFS, GO !

bUT i ENCOURAGE YOU ITS A GOOD THING TO SUPPORT LOCAL TEAMS, even in the leafs case. There is no more Nordique for Quebec, so we are left with the Canadian of Montreal, well even if there are are acient rival, its the holy grail of hockey

I hear you McMean when you say your tummy hurts. Irritable gastrointestinal systems are directly related to very few leaf wins followed by the goaltending show of the year last night by Halak. You're still ok in my books because you like Gottliebs even if your hockey allegiance are slightly misplaced : )

Ricker's current lineup;

El Dorado          Flash.                   Royal Flush           Joker Poker
Volley               Pioneer                 Barracora             Black Knight
Meteor             Xenon

The Habs are iconic and provide a good game in general. Although the Leafs are closer to me, i would run with the habs first.

It's not the players that I'm against, it's the fans.  Cheering for the Habs means you're one of them, and that's so wrong....
Same goes for Ottawa, perhaps even worse since Habs fans at least have emotion.....

You should try going to a Leafs game sometime then.. most of the suits in the seats aren't even watching the game    They're too busy making business deals

Habs fans are brutal though.. last night Halak was king.  If he plays shitty in game 7, they'll boo him off the ice.  Dang French people.. always so hard to please.

I don't hate the Leafs. I just hate the crazy fans. They are completely frickin mental. Wear a Toronto jersey in Montreal and probably the worst that will happen is popcorn thrown at you.

My cousin spent 3 days in a hospital after wearing his Habs jersey at the Air Canada center and was beaten senseless by 10 guys after the LEAFS WON... not the Habs.

Most Montreal fans don't hate the Leafs. There is more of a feeling of pity. The team has not given a rat's a** about it's fans, ever. But it seems that 90% of Leafs fans HATE everything Montreal stands for.

And to think I almost moved to Toronto 8 years ago...

Oh well... back to work, and back to painting McMean's Galaxy playfield with Habs colors.

All kidding aside, I love Ottawa. Good team, good arena, and fans are very cool and respectful. I have been to Kanata a few times to watch games.

My only pet peeve about the Sens? That f**king parking lot. It takes 3 hours to get out of there!!!!!

slave, I've been to a few leafs games, but only been in the lower bowl once and even that wasn't too close to the real suits, the rest have been in the beer soaked nose bleeds.  It's evident when you watch them on tv, the start of the 2nd/3rd the club seats are all empty as they are too busy finishing their Perrier in the bar.

Sparky, you're right, the parking is terrible but if you can sneak your way into lot 3 it isn't so bad.  You're better off to have someone else drive and suggest that you wait the traffic out at the bar.

I find Ottawa fans too reserved, but TO and Habs fans too far the other way.  Us Bruins fans are the only respectable kind.

Hey, I'm certainly NOT trying to defend my Leafs... I made that clear in the beginning.  I BLEED BLUE AND THE LEAFS STINK!!!  Is this the best you've got?  Some pics of a jersey and insults about the fans?  C'mon, I said the Habs make me want to VOMIT!!!  They played like JUNK last night and had a Roy-esque evening from Halak.  Surely you can try harder than this?

As for the trades thing, I'm not losing sleep over 1st round pics... Kessel is a solid player who is proven to produce - if those kids turn out to be Gretzky-Jrs, then I'll lose some sleep.  But until they've played a few seasons in the NHL, we can't compare Kessel to OHL boys.  So far, I'm happy with that trade.  Now if we'd just get a couple guys for Kessel to play with...... geez.

  Daniel

You mean like Hall?

Kessel is good, but too much of a perimeter player for my liking.  It was really a salary dump, drop Kessel and get a good entry level salary to replace him next year.

Maybe up here but that's not the feeling I get when I visited beantown ... that being said for worst/most violent fans (any sport in NA) I'd have to go with Philly (eageles/flyers fans hell they enlarged the 'jail/holding cells' in the new football stadium) and raiders fans. Most obnoxious is easy ... Yankee fans by a mile hated everywhere ... even in their own city (by mets fans)

Sure but are trying to say that Boston thought they'd get a first or second overall when they made the deal ? .. I don't think so .. it looked much more like a 6-10 but the Leafs stunk worse than could be expected.

Don't forget... they have 2 more 1st round picks to give to Boston!!! I never understood that move from Burke. Phil Kessel is slightly better than Wakey-Wakey-Jason-Blakey. I think that Burke did more damage with that move than that other douchebag Ferguson did. Burke's best players are the young ones and up-and-comers like Schenn and Kadri. Giving so much for a restricted free agent NEVER paid off. Ask Kevin Lowe about Dustin Penner. And you would think that Burke would have learned from that experience...

Unfortunately, it will take YEARS for that team to be good at best. Too much dead wood.

That is 100% true (or if they do randomly make a decent pick he gets shipped off ie Rask to Boston .. geesh) ... actually I'm significantly more optomistic that Burke can build a decent team here (it just depends on the Pension fund and all the would be GM's that get their fingers into the pie)

Well, good luck to Halak in the rest of the playoffs.  If he keeps this up he can win a Cup for sure, he's playing very well.  Halak definitely won the series, I can't believe Washington couldn't beat him.  I think Mtl as a team needs to step up, though, because they played like crap.

Goddamn it.  My tummy hurts even more.

Ovechkin was brutal in that game.  23mins of ice time? hell, he could have had 60mins at the rate he was 'skating'.  I'm glad Mtl won though...now my beloved Bruins can play Philli instead of Pitt.

I was at Pearson airport waiting for my connecting flight back home when i see many people gathered round the tv screens. I thought washington sent montreal packing the week before. long story short, since i don't care about hockey and was sitting far away from the crowds (ie 75 ft) The crowd errupts on the first goal. i started to approach  the tv's since i was curious who scored. for a moment, i thought washington had scored. i was incensed.. only i am allowed to boo the canadiens, not pathethic leaf followers. This wasn't right, the mass hate for canadiens loosing but when i got to within 20 ft of the screen, i noticed it was the canadians that scored. Moments later, i realized the reason so many people  cheered the goal was because there were two planes worth of quebecois waiting to get back to YUL.
