not that it really matters, but whats up with the top members section? macphreak was top with over millions of post. sparky second, necro thrid, me and then mr. hide. little while ago there wasn't any macphreak, sparky was top, i was second (over 2000 post), then necro, then Azatotht and mr.hide next after us. now its sparky, mrhide, necro, Azatotht and then me (lost around 700 post). this is less then a hour from looking at everything. so just wondering is the system acting up? what next? PINNUTS in the top spot?
I had the posts recounted. what you have now are the ACTUAL post counts. I kept getting comments about the old numbers being false (MacPhreak's total was nothing but a test that was forgotten).
No, posts are not getting deleted or lost. The system counts the actual ones. And besides, other than admin, Gory, you are the only one that can delete your posts. And we don't delete anything.

Just wondering if there are still some 'clean-up' done now and then. I know some of my old for sale/SOLD posts seem removed for instance (after machine marked as sold)...
Should we leave those old posts here on MAACA instead of cleaning them up? (that would be my preference for future reference, but the MAACA site might be web/disk space limited ?)
Thanks! - Sylvain.
Looking for 1966 Bally Capersville, 1967 Bally The Wiggler, 1981 Stern Viper, 1986 Pinstar Gamatron, 1986 Williams Grand Lizard, 1991 Williams Bride of Pinbot, and a few others. Cash or some trades available. Could also repair a machine of yours +/-$ if needed, in exchange for one machine on my want list, non-working/unshopped welcome!
cleaning the classifieds isnt about space it is about beeing able to sift through what is current makes it easier to find what is valid. why is post counts so valued?

I really do not care about post counts nor individual rating of a poster based on post counts only. I do however care about being able to find older posts & pics info for the future.
While removing sold posts does declutter the For Sale forum, it also removes potentially precious info for the future, such as conditions of a machine originally, pics, price, date, specific info, and original owner (for possible questions about game fun factor, any documentation available, game rules, etc.).
Suggestion: Add a 'Sold/Archive' forum to the Classifieds, and have only admin (and/or owner) able to move posts there once item marked sold ??
... my personal opinion, for whatever it is worth
As always, I really appreciate this great forum and community. I also try to contribute to it constructively by helping fellow MAACA members when I can.
Thanks again, keep up the *excellent* work !
Regards & Cheers, - Sylvain.

i don't really care about the ranking other then i was neat to see how many posts i did. but yea, i really miss some of the older post that seem to now be gone. use to be some great info in the shipping section and now i don't see alot of the info that i use to find there.
as for me deleting my own post? who knows i might have? i try to mostly just update my older post if things or sold or what not.
really? thought it was about socializing about pins/vids and such. some sales and loads of talk. sorry i got it wrong and went on and on and on and on sometimes.
