Other than polar bears I guess. I have done some fishing in total seclusion for arctic char up in the high arctic. Never strayed far from my trusty shotgun though. 1 in the barrel and 4 in the stock. First 3 are 3 shot last two are slugs. 1 for the bear and the last for yourself if all that doesn't work.
I am on the "west side" of the Op. I am in a hotel in Yellowknife, got a chairforce ride on this one

My name is Chris, imaginative screen name eh? I have worked in the environmental field for about 30 years, now as the Environmental Supt. for the City of Owen Sound. Drawn into pins about 5 years ago by a friend with a collection. Never occured to me you could own your own pinball machine. Love fixing EM's and just getting into SS machines with a Sinbad purchase earlier this month. Understanding wife, 11 working pins upstairs right now, mostly in the family room and a few projects in the basement. Do most of my repairs upstairs though, as she likes to have me around. She likes to play too! (pinball that is).
EM Pinball Guy.

Greatest joy (as far as pinball goes anyway): Bringing a piece of cast-off junk back to life.

I am an engineer, still working at Nortel in Product Verification (fiber optic transmission/reception equipment incl. DWDM & others). Mostly software-related, but we do provide some input to hardware designers too. Making sure the products will meet various standards requirements, quality, and customer requirements & expectations. Fun, but often long hours and pressure. ...With all that is occuring with Nortel lately, I am unsure how much longer I'll be there !!
With regards to pinball machines, I bought my first EM project (a 1968 Williams Daffie) in 1982. It's been 27 years of fun repairing and collecting 100s of machines since then, during my limited spare time after work and family!
Cheers, - Sylvain.
Looking for 1966 Bally Capersville, 1967 Bally The Wiggler, 1981 Stern Viper, 1986 Pinstar Gamatron, 1986 Williams Grand Lizard, 1991 Williams Bride of Pinbot, and a few others. Cash or some trades available. Could also repair a machine of yours +/-$ if needed, in exchange for one machine on my want list, non-working/unshopped welcome!
owner of a tattoo shop. i haven't tattooed in around 20yrs. but i have been piercing around 17yrs. tattooing is in my family's history. great uncle started tattooing in 1890 and he is kind of famous. he was counted back in day as one of the worlds most tattooed man. sailor joe simmons was my great uncle and he also was the man to start sailor jerry into the industry. sailor jerry is more famous (you should try his rum).
Sailor Jerry rum is really good. I have (half) a bottle at home right now.
I have been restoring PINS for about 3 years now. Started with EM, moved up to SS, now at DMD. I also enjoy good arcade games and rare EM machines.
My ambition to to create the best and most diverse gamesroom I can, so that all my family and friends can enjoy it. Even if they don't care for pinball.
Name's Alex and I'm presently employed with the federal gov. as a graphic designer (a title I use quite loosely in a template-based environment).
Past jobs include bellman, server, daycare teacher, tour guide in Peru and Bolivia, owner/operator of a clown and entertainment company, ESL teacher in Korea and the list goes on.
I have recently started a screen printing company with a partner so guess who hopes to do the next MAACA batch of shirts?!!
Re. pinball, can't have more than one machine at a time in the house so Sparky's custom Ultra Mame project 1 is what I presently own. I miss pinball...
