While 2006 had it's challenges for me, it was a great year to meet other collectors. Just got back from a trip to the Toronto area and I was able to meet some great guys and play some incredible games.

Many thanks to Mark for hosting the tournament. A great time was had by all and it was nice to put faces to names. Great collection of games you have Mark. I enjoyed playing all of them especially TSPP Always nice to play a different assortment of games. Elvis was a big surprise and I started to warm to the game. If you can get over the theme, it's not a bad game at all

My thanks to Adam aka Vengence for having me over. As always enjoyed playing the silver ball, and talking pinball into the wee hours of the morning. Really enjoyed RFM. Great game, such a shame the platform wasn't given a chance.

During the summer, I visited London and got an opportunity to meet some collectors there. Kidflash was kind enough to let me check out his collection and reduce it by one Cooke organized a get together and it was awesome. Great bunch of folks.

And thanks to the guys behind MAACA for providing a forum to meet all these great folks!

Cheers!
Duane

Great meeting you too Duane, we usually let out of territory guests win the tournament....just ask Meat Popsicle he won the last one at Mark's (it keeps the reviews of us looking good)

Where did you end up hanging that poster btw

Coming to this month's meet?
Brian

It was a good year. Perhaps in 2007, I'll make it to an Ottawa/Montreal meeting.

Is there a Southern Ontario meeting this month? Where? When?

Bahhh... we didn't do anything... in fact, I have been just too plain lazy to pull a "Wayne Gillard" on their a** and send the Toronto guys a Cease and Desist order for using our sacred name!

Actually, we are more than thrilled that the "Toronto Chapter" is going full tilt... as well as our "Western Canada Chapter" in Calgary!

As we said in the past, we seriously thought of changing the name of the association to give it a more Canadian approach (since we had NO CLUE it would get this big at the time!!!), but it is a bit late in the game now for that... besides, you all seem to feel that MAACA has no boundaries anyways!

Besides, you can replace the word "Montreal" with what you want, as long as it stays with an M!:

Metro-Canadian
Multi-Canadian
Mighty-Canuck

...whatever.

It's sitting in the basement. Haven't even had a chance to unpack everything. Got in Monday night at 12:30 am, work on Tuesday, up early on Wednesday and flew BACK to Toronto for a meeting, back in Ottawa at 8:30 pm tired and now have a crap load of work to do.

That poster is a monster! I will have to take a picture of the gameroom afterwards...seriously Mark Still not sure where to put it.

Cheers,
Duane
