I know, I know, I am a week late, But I am still recovering!!     

So, I recruit my Brother, aka Pinball rival, to help me put some fluorescent lights up in the garage and then play a little Pinball... So, He tells his wife he will be home before She goes to work... She has to be there at 9:30, so he should be fine.

So, He arrives at 3:30, we start to put up the 8' fixtures up get 1 up and the other fixture wired up. We have to leave to pick up my Wife from work and get some food. So we get back finish the lights and decide what to play. How about a Best of 3 on everything here! Game on!!

Now you have to remember, I have a LOT!! of games!! 29 set up and working right now, Well, 28 since I tore down the Theatre of Magic. Anyway, It turns out that it actually takes a long time to play a best of 3 on some games, and this was taking a little longer than we figured, At 915 or so, we finish the Garage 3 - 3 it is time for Dairy Queen!     Come back and play the upstairs games, 7 more, I think I am up 7-6 now. Down to the Basement, My wife says, play the ones at the bottom of the stairs first so She can get some quiet to sleep as we get further from the door. Well, we play another 6 games, now it is 10 -9 for me and 4:30 in the morning! Holy crap!! Still 9 games to go! We decide to call it a night and continue on Tuesday! He got home around 5:00AM. Well, It turns out playing Pinball for 9 Hours is rather hard on your body!! Wrists are not the same after that, and that is a long time to watch the other guy have a great ball.

Fast forward to Tuesday night, He arrives at 6:00 and off we go, Well, Tuesday was my Night!! 8-1 for me! making the total 18-10 and Tuesday took almost 5 More hours! So, 14 hours to play a best of 3 on 28 games! I haven't broke it down yet, but I think there only about 10 sweeps, so that makes about 75 games played each! High score tables were reached on a few games, which is pretty tough at my place, and there were definitely some absolute Stinker games too! I am always amazed at how you can absolutely Kick a games A** 1 game and next game, You are lying on the floor wondering what happened! That to me is the Big draw of Pinball!

All in all, it was great fun!! Competitive pinball is very fun to play, I recommend more Tournaments to everyone! I wish I was close enough to make it to some of the meetings.

I have a buddy in TOPL and we have an ongoing side bet on who can get to 1000 wins first.  The prize is the person who loses has to pay for that person's trip to PAPA that year.  

Right now we are at 400 and some odd games in   I just took the lead for the first time in the competition last night, he came by my place to play so pin, he came by at about 7 we played till about 1 am.  

The score between us now is like 207 Me to 201 him we are pretty evenly matched and it adds an extra level of fun to playing I find.  

But yea I totaly agree the added competition even if just for fun adds something to just regualr playing.

Wow better than my labour day weekend....

Saturday night we went downtown for "one beer" at 9pm. 4am I fell asleep in the backseat of a cab on the way back to the south shore with my buddy in the front seat. After crossing the champlain bride, my face goes flying against the back of the passenger seat... the cab rear-ended another car on the highway; first thing I remember is the old french cabbie yellling "tabarnac not again, its the 2nd one tonight..dispath is going to kill me tabarnac!"

there we were, on the shoulder of the highway, waiting for the police, a tow truck and another cab.
