Still can't believe I managed to score a NIB pin at this price, so I just had to share and jump on the "In da house" train......
WHHHAAAAMMMMYYY!!!
But seriously, while a number of members were off at A-town I was busy here at home and picked up a HUO Demo Man almost out of my own back yard. (Here's proof that deals can actually be found in the classifieds)
It wasn't advertised as such, but after receiving only 2 pics of the game (and not very good ones) there were a few things that stood out and it prompted me to go see the game in person.
Upon arrival I confirmed what I noticed in the pics, not drilled for a hasp and zero wear on the coin door / chutes (sign #1). Once I opened her up, I immediately got confirmation that this game never sat on location, that being none of the shipping screws and factory WMS tags/plates had ever been removed in the head and the protective plastic film was still attached in spots on the DMD cover. The game also has zero bumps or bruises, not even where the legs were attached. The only downside was the main cab has seen some sun (it was parked in front of a window when I picked it up) so the man has no colour, but the head decals are fine... go figure. The other thing I could be facing is acid damage, as the batteries obviously have never been changed in 14 years with all that I encountered in the head, although the game plays fine once you reset the 'feature adjustment' error so there is hope.
Once I get her setup, I'll take a few more pics and post. The game is in need of a small shop job as she's still running on the original rubber, so I may start a thread in the project section. (not that there will be much to do though....)
Nice find. DM is a game that I would like to try for awhile. Too bad about the fade though.
Your missing the obligatory, game blocking the front hall - folded up, pic.
The fade is minimal, as the only part that is faded is the "small naked dude" on the side of the main cab... I can live with that given how nice the rest of the cab is.
At least I got the folded up part right! I'm lucky enough my games don't have to pass through my front hall.
