hey I am glad people had fun and post them again we all love it even if we could not make it. you should try to come down for the next meeting in Ottawa.
Man that was the highlight of the day. During my diagnosis (and totally unrelated to anything I was working on at the time) the HV side of the display boards 62V circuit of Shadow decided to take a permanent vacation. Luckly I have a kit but WTF. This thing has to give me a break sooner or later. Its the Fn driver board. It's got more new chips in it than a pack of Lay's potatoes and its still eluding me as to what is corrupting the data.
Since our meet almost 2 weeks ago was a blast, I thought since I was in the area, I'd drop into the Nottawasga Inn to see what line-up they had for pins since I was last there a couple of years ago for a potential future meeting place in the rotation (A option to explore anyways)...
6 pins: 1. TAF 2. Rollergames 3. BK2K 4. Elvira and the party monsters 5. Pinbot 6.T2
Plus a Slugfest and a whack of videogames, a few pool tables and a very cool indoor mini-putt course!
So before you think of dialing for the route owners name and number on the TAF or BK2K, I've already done that and talked to the guy. 30 years in the business and he knows everything about pinball machines he says
I asked what he wanted for the TAF, "oh gotta be worth $4000 to $5000 but let me think on the price a bit".
He says he's got some cheaper ones though that are as he described "creame puffs" and 25 years old. I said oh like a BK or FP and he says yes exactly them titles. I asked how much and he said because their "creame puffs" they'll be around $3000 each
I wonder if the "creame puffs" are like the Pinbot that was there
They were better cleaned and without broken rubbers on the PF like last time I was there! Condition for play (didn't examine them all closely but the TAF looked decent). BK2K had some major grime on the upper PF. Pinbot you count the broken and missing plastics on your toes...
Think it would be a good place for rotation variety anyways and thought I'd share my story of the "creame puff man"

I don't have a small penis, she has a HUGE girl private- Larry David
Must be nice to see games on location. Afraid Ottawa is pretty dry for pins on location -- probably why there are quite a few collectors in the area I cann't think of a place with more than 1 pin it.

So how did they play?

Wifey was "waiting patiently out in the car"....say no more
I forgot to ask "Mr. Creame Puff" about how often he shops his games out using Novus
Really odd seeing a Pinbot on location still I must admit, Brian

Duane,
I guess you need to drive around town!
Les Promenades de l'Outaouais movie theatre has 2 pins...Judge Dredd and Goldeneye...but their condition is...well...it's Henry Amusements....need I say more?
Other multiple-location pin locations exist in Ottawa...the problem is that most are in rough or very poor shape...Again...Henry Amusements...
Current 'working' lineup: ( 2 ) Flipper Football, The Shadow
Gone but not forgotten: ( 22 ) City Slicker, Dirty Harry, CFTBL, Big Shot, Big Guns, Black Rose, Judge Dredd, Indianapolis 500, Big Game, BS: Dracula x 2, Beat the Clock, Fire!, F-14 Tomcat, Getaway, Breakshot, Cheetah, Meteor, El Dorado, Nitro Ground Shaker, Chexx Hockey, Slugfest
You may be right there. Three kids and my wife attending University doesn't give me alot of time -- sometimes I cann't even make it to the basement to play a couple of games !
Would you mind sending me a list of places you know have games? Wouldn't mind playing some games on location -- provided they play half decent. I know what you mean re: Henry Amusements. That guy's idea of shopping a pin is applying Windex once a year and maybe some duct tape! !
