Is Detroit going to win tonight in Pittsburgh? UGH.
34 #@$#@$(& Seconds from a damn cup. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If the Wings don't win this series, this will have to go down as one of the worst SCF losses in the history of the game. I honestly think Detroit has a better chance to win in Pitt than at home, because apparently Detroit plays very nervous at home lately (they did in game 5 against Dallas as well), and game 5 at home last Monday.
COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOODNESS!

Detroit's clearly the stronger team and should win tonight.
Being a sens fan the last thing I want to see is Hasek with his name on the cup again. Also, hate Roberts due to his ability to hurt the Sens - and Crosby is too whiney to win at soo young an age. That said, I found myself cheering for the Pens - maybe because they look like such the underdog.... ...gotta admire Malone - taking a puck in the face and coming back so quickly and blocking shots...
Great series - exciting hockey - I just hope I goto bed before 1am tonight!
It's been a very entertaining series that probably shouldn't have gone beyond 4 games, 5 at most. I think Detroit has taken periods off in this series and it's cost them, especially in game 5.
If they put together a 60 minute game tonight, they should win it. I hope they come out approaching it like business and not be down about the loss. This is the ultimate test of adversity.

I think Pits wins again tonight. But looses game 7
Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.
I pick Detroit. They are the superior TEAM - they play like a well oiled machine! (Kind of like a Williams vs. Stern. Both good but one just feels and plays more fluid and solid).

YYYYYYYYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! CUP IS OURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was obvious the refs wanted to give Pitt a chance to win it at home. Thank God we had the insurance goal. Good lord. 1 second away and they still almost tied it. I would have shat myself.

Congrats to Detroit - CLEARlY the better team.
Debatable on the refs. Detroits 1st goal - was on a power play - a weak interference call on Sydor. The NBC broadcast had Pierre McGuire laughing at the non-calls against Detroit - the goalie interference on Fleury, the slew-footing of Hossa numerous times. Coach's Corner had the montage of non-calls against Crosby. I guess from my biased-eyes - there were a bunch of non-calls, but either way Detroit was a better team. There were a bunch of non-calls likely the other way, too - I just didn't see those
Great to see a Swede captain a team to the cup! That should keep Cherry quiet for awhile. A newfie hoist the cup. Didn't like seeing Chelios / Hasek hoist the cup, though.

Well, Chelios and Hasek helped the team get there... like it or not.
As for the refs, it was a running joke. I was laughing so hard at Pittsburgh's last goal. It was the epitome of bad reffing. Malone purposely smacks the stick out of Lilja's hands, which is a blatant case of interference, RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF, who does nothing. Pens score. I know it was of little consequence, but WTF???? Imagine if the Pens would have managed to score in the last second... I almost wished that they did. The refs called 4 penalties on the Wings in the end of the last 2 games for offences that remained uncalled throughout both games. The Penguins got nothing, even though that frickin moron Orpik (I truly hate that player...) was hooking like if he was Tim "Captain Hook" McCracken from the Slapshot movie, and got nothing at all. Even on a couple of occasions, Orpik tripped a guy, slowed down and looked at the ref, fully expecting a penalty, and got none.

Sparky, you must have been cheering for Detroit. I never saw those plays you mention. Rule 1 of hockey - hold onto your stick - I thought Detroit should have been called for embellishment on that one I did see Draper waterski off Crosby/Malkin/Hossa a few times though Personally, I'd rather have a power play in the 1st period to go up a goal, then one with a few minutes left to tie the game...
Tough to be a ref these days - they gotta get the game to the "no obstruction" level - but still let them play full of emotion...
