I know it is quite early to plan this, but since I have a deadline on a machine, I have to deliver on March 1st, which is a Sunday.

So far, I will have 2 pins and a couple of playfields in the van to head for TO. I can handle a couple of small items, or parts. So if you need anything brough over to TO, let me know.

As for bringing anything back, other than a home-edition Fireball pin from Gory, I have nothing else concrete yet.

I would like to get my gas and my time covered by this trip. I can't do any freebies... not with 2 young kids at home. So basically, by the time the trip date arrives, whatever is scheduled for transport, I will split the costs accordingly. I hate to do so, but I consider travel time on the same page as a playfield rework. It is labor time. So the more I have in the van on a round trip, the less it costs you all.

I can fit 3 pins in the van. Tight, but I have done it. Playfields are not a problem. I basically plan to do a TO trip every 3-4 months if the business is there.

Let me know if you have anything planned.

Sparky

PS: Adam, your MAME will be delivered on another trip... it takes my whole van to move this thing. If you pick it up, I will arrange for it to be super-easy to reassemble.

OK, so I am full pin-wise for my trip towards Toronto with 3 pins (Mark's Captain Fantastic, Monkeybug's Silverball Mania and SquidVicious's Centigrade 37), and on my way back, I have Goodicksa's Flash Gordon and Gory's Fireball. I have room for one more if needed.

So here is the planned itinerary so far:

Leave March 1st at 5am
Get to Mark's place at latest 11am (hopefully) and drop off the CF
Leave for Vengeance's place, get there by noon, drop off items, pick up a FG pin and some playfields.
Leave for Bish's place in Peterborough to get there LATEST 3pm and pick up the caberets, and hopefully have time to get the Fireball from Gory apparently close by.
Head immediately for home (I estimate getting home by 9-10pm).
Unload.
Bring back the truck.

If I had ANY measure of possible flexibility, I would leave Saturday night and stay close by at a hotel, but that would mean leaving Sat. night... not great with the missus. So it looks like it will be a marathon run once again.

OK... I need all your help to figure this one out...

My original plan was to leave MTL on the 28th at 7pm, get to Adam's at around 1-1:30am, sleep, get up, unload Centigrade 37, Silverball Mania and maybe Captain Fantastic there (depends if Mark can get it at Adam's or not... dunno), then head to Peterborough to pick up vids and a pin at Gory's, then head home.

But now Bish needs to have a pin picked up in the Ottawa area and the seller can't deliver it to me... that means I would have to drive from MTL to Ottawa, squeeze the pin in the van with the others, drive on HWY 7 instead of the 401, deliver it to Bish, pick up vids, then deliver the other pins at Adam's and head back home. Problem is that either I arrive at Bish's at 2am or if I leave in the morning, I have to pick up the pin at 6am to be able to do the whole trip and get back ata reasonable time...

Any ideas anyone?

Hey... if someone can bring Bish's pin to me, that would be a huge load off... but I don't know if anyone is coming this way.

I couls also leave earlier... but that would mean divorce for me. My wife is getting back to work on the March 2nd after a year off. If I leave for 2 days, I am sleeping in the shed.

Ideas???

Well, the only thing I can figure out is either someone does me a favor and brings it here, or I lose an evening to go get it.

If anyone is close to the Kanata area and is planning a trip here soon, let me know.

OR, I know this thought doesn't occur to you to often, but you could say "Sorry I just can't do it" (Sorry Bish)

I know you like bending over backwards to help people but at some point man you just gotta say Uncle.

Because it pays. Bish told me if I couldn't it was no biggie. But if I can squeeze it in, why not. I am waiting for an email from someone that may be able to bring it.

OK, so I am in the final planning of the weekend run. My cousin is lending me his E350 Super Duty... frickin thing is a warehouse on wheels. I can stand a pin up in it no problem! Basically comes down to this:

I leave Saint-Lazare Saturday around 6pm loaded with SBM cab and playfield for Monkeybug, CF machine for Mark, C37 machine for SquidVicious, LOTR playfield for Vengeance, FT playfield for Muligan and a heavy Bell phone for Vengeance as well. If I am forgetting anything PLEASE let me know NOW!!!

I get to Gatineau around 7:45pm, load up the Warlords cocktail for Weasel.

I head for Jim's at latest 9pm and load up the IJ pin for Bish.

I head for Keswick (Adam's place), and hope to get there. If I get too tired, I will stop at a hotel, but chances are I will be OK. I estimate getting to Adam's by 2-2:30pm if all is well. I just have to figure out the fastest way to get there from Ottawa... route 7 ??? 416 down to the 401???

Sunday morning, OD on Monster, unload the games, get Adam's T2 playfield, McMean's Galaxy playfield, and whatever else people want to give me.

Around 1pm, I will leave for Peterborough to Bish's place, unload the IJ and load the 2 caberets. Then possibly head over to see Gory and pick up the Fireball and whatever Gory needs to have done.

Head home latest 4pm, get home around 10pm, unload, hit the sack.

So if anyone has a game they want an estimate on, come over to Adam's place Sunday at noon.

And again, if I have forgotten anything here, please post and let me know. I have been sleeping 3-4hrs a night for the last 3 weeks due to me getting things done, so my memory isn't all there...

Latest... I will try to make a fast run and cut the chat. I will take the 416 down to the 401 then straight to TO. I will try to leave Ottawa as soon as possible.

Oh just f**king lovely... snow storm passing on Sunday. AGAIN... JUST LIKE LAST TIME I WENT TO TORONTO. Actually, they say nothing for Toronto... but 10-15cms for Kingston and 20-25cms for Montreal.

Gonna be a fun time driving back.

Just a note Tglover and McMean haven't contacted me for my address yet, so unless they picked it up from the TOPL list I don't think they are comming to my place for Sunday.

F**k am I tired. Made it home at 9pm (I hauled a** on the 401...)

I just finished unloading the van alone... man my back hurts...

- Missile Command caberet
- Asteroids caberet
- Centipede caberet now MAME
- Astro Blaster upright
- T2 pinball
- Flash Gordon pinball
- Fireball home edition pinball

I also want to thank everyone today... as harsh as it was physically, it was great to see you all.

BIG thanks again to Adam and denise for being SUPER understanding hosts... I got there at 4:45am Sunday morning. Adam was very understanding... And thanks for the new project too... Gonna be sweet...

Also a big thanks to Bish for the games... I promise to make you proud on the Astro Blaster...

And another huge thanks to Gory!!!! He just made my son Brian VERY happy with his own first pinball, the Fireball.

Thanks also to Mark, Dan and Chris for the CF, C37 and SBM jobs... people seemed really happy with the results. I got LOTS of comments on the cabs... they do look new!

I must say I am sorry I couldn't stay very long nor was I 100%... one day this summer I will have to stay longer... Sorry to Judge as well in Kingston... I was so beat and desperately wanted to get home... otherwise I would have definately taken up that offer for pinball and beer!!! Also sorry to TGlover... no way I could drive to his place... never would have made it home at a decent hour...
