It is amazing, I've been collecting for just over 8 months now and have yet to have one bad run in (well, there may be one, but time will tell on that one). But I read many of these posts and it seems bad deals are fairly common. I must be pretty lucky so far.
I wouldn't categorize anythign in regards to the backglasses as "bad deals". I gues that people just get too excited when a lot of inexpensive parts come along and they ask to put them aside, but never follow through due to either realizing they have no money or realizing they don't really want it in the end. Like I said... no biggie. Whatever I have left unpaid goes on Ebay on Saturday June 19th. I will give a 3-day period to send the payment once the auctions are finished. The following week I am on vacation, so I will have time to either be available for pick-up or crate a shitload of them. I honestly don't think that anyone is ill-intentioned. Just either forgetful or merely embarrassed to tell me they don't want it in the end. And as for Loafy's method, I agree with it, but since my bad deal at Allentown with the American, I no longer do work for just anyone. Just people I know. I have turned down 5 cabs and 8 playfields in the last month. |
