It's widely know ST:TNG normally has short ball times. The outlanes are brutal. Shadow can also be painfully short.
I recently got a Jackbot and thanks to Jokker was able to confirm a small issue I had with the game. With that fixed, I've been enjoying it and I'm amazed at how short the ball times can be. I did a search and found that is a common complaint for the game. Like it's father Pinbot, Jackbot gives some painfully short games. It's like there are magnets on the outlanes
That said it's a really fun game. I love the double or nothing feature and Casino Run is a rush.
Any other "short ball time" games out there? This one surprised me and I'm wondering if there are others I haven't considered.
I've never found Jackpot to have overly short balls times, lots of rubber in the outlanes gives you quite a bit of room to nudge things out of there when needed.
BSD as mentioned has short Ball times.
WOF was another good example
CFTBL can also be pretty unforgiving at times, also with only a 2 ball mutliball it really can shorten game times
Safecracker has pretty short ball times as well if you don't count the time speant up on the board game.
I'm sure there are others but I just can't think of them at the moment.
But yea Jackbot is a fun game, casino run is a very well done mode and allways very fun to play and the mega visor is also a nice achivment to get.

Casio Run is a very cool, heart pounding, and sometimes devastating mode. Last night I had the Run up to over a billion with 2 lite extra balls and a special. I had a few good runs, so I decided to continue to risk it. Next award was a bomb! I lost it all. Ouch. And yes, I was "cheating" by pressing the button but it didn't save me that time.
Still haven't gotten Mega Visor. The rubber should probably be changed. The outlanes have black rubber and it's not as bouncy as white. I bet if I change it over, I can save balls before they go via the outlanes.
yea I love the cheating option, such a cool thing to add and really adds a element of randomness that is really fun.
Agree 100%. Wasn't sure how I would like Jackbot. It's a very different game. I'm enjoying the Pinbot next door, so I decided to grab the Jackbot and see how it plays. I'm really enjoying it. The game play is totally different. At first I thought the theme was kind of strange -- robots and gambling...wtf? But somehow it works. The gambling aspect is nicely integrated and demands skill as well. Getting Mega visor is not easy. I still haven't done it.
Very interesting how the same playfield can be implemented in such a different way. My neighbor is coming over tonight, it will be interesting seeing his reaction. I know he will comment on the missing topper -- he loves that on Pinbot. Personally, I'm surprised they didn't include it. There is hardly anything to the game in terms of mechanics and it must have been dirt cheap to manufacture, so why not keep the topper?
I have to admit I really enjoyed the Jackpot when I had mine as well. I only traded mine to get a No Good Gofers and Fishtales, part of a three for three pin trade. Anyways as far as I'm concerned it was a big improvement on the Pinbot, with the animations in the DMD, the gambling theme with the cheat feature, the casino run of course, the appealing art on the playfield, translite, and cabinet, and also that soothing music and speech. I've had two Pinbots before the Jackpot and don't really miss them after having the Jackpot.
Getaway doesn't have short ball times at all. I have super long games on it. Way longer then my TAF by a longshot. It's almost too long when I'm playing with friends they get bored hahah
