just a question like that ...how much a double  Daytona II worth??

It depends...  (...of course...)

As a guideline, I would think a working pair should go for $1300-1500 CDN.

If you get them for under $1000 you got a good deal.

I was lucky to get mine for less than $1000, but it had a few issues
(broken shifter, problem with the force feedback steering, and it would not link )

Still,  I know the only reason I got it,  was because few people had the means to transport them
and/or fit them in their house, so few people were able to buy it.

i just bought a pair of California Speed's this weekend, to go with my pair of Cruis'n USA's, so i know your pain,
i want a dual daytona next.

Eric

Now that I've been bitten, I'd like to test out and compare
the various driving games (from the mid-90's )

Between my Cruis'n and the Daytona, I much prefer the Daytona
because it's much more realistic to drive .

The graphics and dynamics of the Daytona are much better.
( Daytona had drift-steering 15 years before the movie "Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift" made it popular )

Cruis'n USA is fun (...especially when you hit a dear...)
but it feels alot more like an "arcade" game rather than a driving simulator.

That said, I'd love to try Cruis'n Exotica because the tracks are wild
(Dinosaures, Mars, Atlantis, etc.. ) and the graphics are much better.
(...anybody got an Exotica ?  I have a boardset, but I bought it non-working... )

I'd also like to try SF Rush to see how that feels.

Don't forget California Speed (the ones i just bought) like Cruis'n Series, but some fun tracks (Driving through a mall / Driving on a Rollercoaster / Driving through a giant circuit board)

It's a lot of fun.

I like the older ones better because they are cartoonish, and fun, not so ultra-realistic, like some of the new ones that i can never see whats going on, nor can i control the car.

Dream gameroom would have

2 x Cruis'n USA
2 x California Speed
2 x Daytona
2 x San Fran Rush
2 x Daytona 2

That would be fun!

At one point after spending some quality time on 2 person Crusin' USA, my son and I had our living room decked out with a PS2 and a couple of those radio shack force feedback steering wheel sets and were having a blast.  We were trying to re-create that arcade feeling.  Then there was a period of no use, so off to eBay they went.  Of course, ever since, my son says "I wish we'd kept the PS2 for the driving games".....

Hey Steph,  I have a couple of SF Rush The Rocks if you would like to try it and I might have two more coming in. In my opinion it is the most realistic driver from the 90's + all the hidden short cuts make it a pile of fun too.
