[  Sorry to start another thread on this while there is already one
with most of the info,  but I find people "tune-out" after a thread hits 30+ posts...  ]

The reasons for "this" thread are :

1- Do we have directions to Jim's place somewhere (or did I miss them )  ?

2- Is there a "pre-meeting" at the warehouse first to check-out some pins and sports gear ?

3- Is anyone coming from T.O. with free hauling space to take back a vid game (...for $$$ of course... )

Lemme know.

Thanks.
Steph

I will be at the warehouse for about 11 or so if anyone wants to see something. I could also go after the mtg.if that works better for someone.

Could someone please explain the difference between the warehouse and house? Does the warehouse have pins setup for play/sale, and the house just has the personal collection?

If you want to see the pins for sale, do I go to the warehouse at what time? and then drive to the house at what time? If I'm not looking to buy, then is there a reason to go to the warehouse?

Help the newb!

Jim has a storage warehouse where he has most of his "for sale" pins.
For people looking to buy, this is the place to go  ( ..around 11:00am I guess... )

Then Jim is hosting a meeting at his house, playing on his personal machines.
I don't "think" any of those are for sale, but with Jim ,.... ya never know !

The house and warehouse are about 10 minutes apart.

From what I'm understanding, the warehouse tour is from about  11:00am to noon,
and the party at Jim's from noon on-ward ...

If you only want to play some pinball, just go to Jim's after noon or so.

Clear as mud ?

See you there...

Cheers,
Steph

Gak!  I thought it was 1:00pm at Jim's, now it's noon.  THIS IS SO CONFUSING!!!!   eheh, thanks for the info, I'll try and drop by the warehouse first, I'm curious on:

- how much pins go for (ie: I have a good idea but sometimes there are always great deals, but what is a great deal?)
- how close can I get a pin without getting a divorce

Hey Jim!

Just wanted to say a big THANKS for the pinball party.  My family couldn't believe I could play pinball for 4 hours straight!   Nice games - enjoyed them all!   Didn't get to put my initials on any of them.

Really like the fridge, too, gonna see if can swing that on the one I have.   Thanks for the hospitality and nice to meet some MAACA members!

Doug.

Indeed, thanks Jim for a great event.

Sorry I had to rush out so quickly,
but the leash is short with 3 young kids at home.

I did however play one of the first games on Creech so I got to put
my Initials as Grand Champion,  (...although at 248,000,000, I'm sure
they'll be gone by tomorrow.  )

Very nice pins BTW....

Cheers,
Steph

My turn to say "many thanks Jim".  I can tell all of you have true passion for this hobby and I really appreciated meeting you all.   Those were all great pins and I have to say, although she was a bit temperamental, "Champion Pub" was pretty unique and my favorite.

Apologies for not showing up. Other things turned out take occupy my time like receiving a new couch, and unloading my 'new' (to me) Whitewater!
I hope to come to the next meetup!

I'm glad everyone had a good time....CP is up and 100% again after Mr.Mikeman did his magic!!  Sparky's punches were just a little too strong for it!!  I love that machine...its different from anything else and keeps you coming back. VERY tough one though.

Just got confirmation that the Gaucho machines are on this weeks plane...won't be long and the Argentina results will be in.

Speaking of results....I "tabulated" the results from yesterdays tournament...First place...Battlezoneman. Second Place...Tuborg. Third Place..Sparky, Fourth Place....Mr.Mikeman. CONGRATS to the winners!!!  You can get your prizes anytime!

And a BIG Thank you to tinyrodent for the Tilt DVD, to JD3 for the awesome computer service, and to Tom454 for the bottle of wine!!!!! And I can't forget Mr.Mikeman for keeping all the machines working great and fixing my jukebox!!!!!

Why not just crate them, throw them in the crate with some water and you're good for like 8 hours.

I do that with my dogs, it should work with kids right?

Thanks Jim! I really wish that I didn't have to leave so early but my Dad decided to surprise me with a visit and I had to leave to pick him up at the airport.

However, the 2 hours I had was very enjoyable. I got to meet some of the MAACA members (which was great) and got to play some nice pins. I really liked the Champion Pub! I think that was my fave.

In my rush to get to the airport I forgot to enquire about the MAACA shirts (Sparky) and the TZ mat (Jim).

I loved your Games Room (the fridge, the GnR poster and the pins). I also liked ther JukeBox but I agree 2 more pins would be a better use of the space.

This is one Newb that is looking forward to meeting and chatting with more MAACA members in the future. It was great putting some faces with the forum usernames.

Pins owned:
Bally - Twilight Zone (1993)
Williams - Star Trek The Next Generation (1993)
Bally - Scared Stiff (1996)

Hey Jim,

Is it worth coming by for the prize?   I'm sure you're joking - or just making it up - as my game play only merits a boggee prize.

Meant to ask you if you ever sold that Bobby Orr for the price it went on ebay?   Can't believe it, as I recall it was close to $4,000.   We just picked one up in New Hampshire - very nice condition.   If you ever want to part with the BK2K let me know - but from what I hear its a keeper.

Take care,
Doug.

I'd never part with my BK2K.... (at the risk of upping the price to you), it's great for anyone who loved the '80s ... but never say never, the kid will eventually have to go to college.
