Hmm... almost 50/50 on this... OK... since many want em to convert a pin and many want me to restore this one, tell you what... find me ANOTHER dead pin, and THEN I will post a poll to see which one of the two gets restored, and which gets converted.
How does that sound?
So if anyone has a complete pin, working or not, with a worn-out playfield, flaked out backglass and dead cabinet, let me know. I will buy it on the spot and then make a decision.
Besides... why fix one pin when you can do two?
And add that to my Fireball project... and virtual pin... and all the playfield and cab jobs (that get priority no matter what)... I LOVE this hobby...
To be fair, if someone has a REALLY ROUGH pin (as long as it is complete) and are willing to part with it, let me know. I will restore that one instead. REGARDLESS of what pin it is. I would love an early SS pin.
I want a rotted, rusted out, smelly, dead piece of crap! PM me if you have one you want to get rid of.
As for FAC... I will draw up plans for a conversion.
Just thought of it... I should revive my Genesis II project. Anyone have a piece of crap Genesis to give me? I bet you anything that with new art and new cabinet design, people would like it A LOT better.
Willing to trade another pin if you have one in good shape.
- back panel rotted. If you have the cabinet on it's back, and tilt it, it splits open. - paint scratched, faded and peeling - all metal rusted - stinks to all high hell - full of mouse crap and dried pee - schematics are in the cab and are half eaten and peed on by mice
BACKBOX:
- Way better condition than cabient, not affected by moisture - regular wear and tear
BACKGLASS:
- flaking rough and cheaply touched up with latex paint... about a 6
PLAYFIELD:
- stinks like the cab - paint faded and very dirty - is complete - mechanicals look sound
MECHANICALS in CAB:
- look intact but FILTHY - corrosion from bad storage
In other words, most would consider this a basket case. Barely even worth parting out.

I would like to change my vote from Restore to Convert. If it is that bad, documented, this could be an incredible restoration show piece for Sparky's Restorations and personalizing it might help inspire you through the drudgery. Also, you wouldn't have to spend $350 on a new backglass if you put your new logo up on a translite instead. Could be a good place to start, seeing your name in lights.
