I remember years ago (my oldest is 11 now) reading that shows like Teletubbies have absolutely no educational benefit. I agree and In the Night Garden, which is from the same production company is very similar. However, I do believe it does teach about friendship, affection, and gives the child something to talk and interact about. Also good for imagination, with the toys and all which is good for a 2 year old.
My kid is doing great cognitively so I have no worries. He likes the show, and at age 2 thats fine. At age 3 I'd encourage different shows.
