He was the guy bidding against me at the start for the Galaga cocktail if you recall...

Too bad I didn't relize quicker though becuase I dropped out for GJD when I saw who I was bidding against.  Oh well he still got a good deal on it.

Gory that voice recording box was not working, BUT was cool and I DID bid for you up to your max anyway because I figured you would have liked it anyway....sorry dude.

I was surprised that it sold after you offered your expert opinion on it.

Too funny..

Did you stay until the very end? What time did you get out of there?

so you paid $5 extra with no bidders and bought it for $10...SLIMY very SLIMY...plus the 10% buyers fee which makes it more than even the starting bid which again, NOBODY was biddin on....did you not sleep well last nite knowin this?  you lost LARGE with the taxes!

Tom-
The Tommy went for 1700 + 10% +13%. ($2113)
Book value is US$1775
I was bidding on it and fully intended to buy it -
I went over book value, it was in nice shape.
But some guy outbid me, he seemed determined to have it, I think I could easily have made him bid $2000.00 for it.
That auction had no rhyme or reason to it.
The working slugfest was going to go for $175.00 until I started bidding on it, I didn't want it, Would have pulled the boards and left the carcass.

I have it on good authority that 1700 was his max and was quite happy that you dropped out at that point. It was yours at 1800.

Considering the US exchange, the buyer's premium brought it in just below book. The 13% was written off as the cost of doing business in Ontario.

Leave your quarters at home. Plan is to put all machines on free play, and have a flat fee for say 4-5 hrs, say 10$. Machines that cant be configured for free play, we will use tokens, but they will be free. The reason we are thinking of 10$ for a certain time limit, is to keep undesirables from hanging there all day, everyday, Also would give a chance to close down for a half hour to an hour or so to eat, and clean up, we want to keep the place and the machines nice and clean.

I would send you a cheque just to be able to stand in the museum and soak it all in... wow. And I am so happy you got the Grand Prix... that is frickin awesome. I hope one day I can have my son play it just as I did as a 4-year-old.

Anyhow, my offer stands for what you need. If there are any games that need some love and you can get them here, please send them... I will work on them for a ridiculous fee... Just the chance to help get this off the ground would be cool...

Retiring soon...

much appreciated, and don't worry, this is getting close to happening. I admit there are more than a few projects in the bunch, but there are enough working games to establish a presence. I actually looked at a location today, but it was not suitable. Access by road to the building ( A culvert was removed from the entrance road, leaving a 5m gap in the road), is kinda helpful for moving games. Portaging with a ms pacman on your back for 500m is a little harder than doing it with a canoe.
