Unfortunately, that theme is pretty dated. It should have come out 3 years ago.

They should do a Futurama version of the game like how they made a Shrek version of FG. I'd buy that!

I saw a project where I guy made a Futurama game - he did a nice job from what I recall.  Not a MAACA ToMMy kind of job from the ground up - but re-doing the artwork / toys of an existing game.

Agree - it'd sell to a large audience.

Look for the "bust Kiefer out of jail" multiball!

All kidding aside, I do like the show. But yes, a bit dated. If there is a movie out soon, that would help.

But Futurama would be great, but I doubt it will happen. With Simpsons out there, why do another cartoon-based pin, and by the same artist on top of that?

Because it was a big hit? They're even doing another run of TSPP. It's been 5 years!

That's what I mean... why do a Futurama when TSPP is still going strong. But wait... here is an idea... they could do like they did for Shrek... Take a TSPP and change the art into Futurama. That would be cost effective for Stern, and still be fun. It is just a rehash, but if it helps Stern to keep running, why not...

Stern won't do this, because they don't need to. TSPP is a STRONG license and is selling well as is. Why screw with success?

FG wasn't selling well. The humour is too adult for many locations. They knew they had a solid game, so had to look for a way to move units. Bingo, let's re-skin it as Shrek. Problem solved.

I like Sparky's idea of redoing TSPP as FPP. It could see it as a limited run of 1000 mainly intended for collectors. I'd buy it.

That's what the Stern reps were saying during the tour as well.

Too bad about 24..    I'd have preferred CSI over 24 for sure.  There's just so much more you could do with it.  You could make the PF like a mini crime scene!

Games based on TV shows in general seem like a bad idea. TSPP and FG excepted (because they're animated?)

By their nature, TV shows don't have much staying power in the public mind. Sometimes, when they're on the air, they get a lot of attention, but once the show is over, people don't care that much and the license can seem really dated.

Wish we could have recorded the conversation,it was a blast.

During the Stern tour, I asked Keith Johnson what he's working on and he said "the next game".
