Like others have said, it's a CRAPCOM and I don't get the attraction
CRAPCOM???
I don't think the Capcoms are bad...compared to many (if not most) of the DEs and Gottliebs in that same are...
I love playing Pinball Magic (IMHO more fun/better than TOM), Breakshot and FLIPPER FOOTBALL!!!) (Can't talk about Airborne...never played it in person)
As for BBB, It's fun, but not '2 Wms A-games' fun... I think it's more of an 'exclusivity factor' than a 'fun' factor (like Cactus Canyon)
Beachstork probably bought a 'share' when they came out and he's trying to do a 'PS3 tactic' for it before X-Mas...
Crapcom? I don't think so!
My $0.02
frosken...who's bigger than you...
Current 'working' lineup: ( 2 ) Flipper Football, The Shadow
Gone but not forgotten: ( 22 ) City Slicker, Dirty Harry, CFTBL, Big Shot, Big Guns, Black Rose, Judge Dredd, Indianapolis 500, Big Game, BS: Dracula x 2, Beat the Clock, Fire!, F-14 Tomcat, Getaway, Breakshot, Cheetah, Meteor, El Dorado, Nitro Ground Shaker, Chexx Hockey, Slugfest

Yep, CRAPCOM. I will admit they are better than the majority of the Gottlieb games of the same era, but the DE games are much, much better.
PM better than ToM? Oh God, you make me laugh. I have tried to like that game. Played it a ton at Medvet's and still think it is a piece of junk. I guess if you like Gilligan Island style of play (do this first, then shot here, now here) then sure it is a great game. Definately not for me. Following the same strategy game after game gets pretty lame in my books. TOM is twice the game Pinball Magic is. Much better art (playfield, translite, plastics, cabinet, EVERYTHING), way better quotes, cooler toy (I love the magic trunk), better music, better gameplay, well you get the idea
Breakshot? I enjoy the game once in a while, but really it's just an early 80s style game with a DMD and a nice translite. Nothing special at all. That's why it sells so cheap.
yeah ... all that's missing is gameplay!! (SHOOT FOR THE TRUNK!! SHOOT FOR THE TRUNK!! SHOOT FOR THE TRUNK!!)
Phil, you forgot the word 'MAGIC'...

Errr...I don't think so Tim... There are A FEW DE titles that are, admitingly fun, but the big problem with DE was that all the games have the SAME modes, the same gameplay... At least Capcom (and Bally/WMS of course) have DIVERSITY in their games, flow, rules, goals, etc...

Listen, to each its own... Don't get me wrong, I find ToM nice and good looking, but for the gameplay....Bleh!
It's true that it is linear, but it has good shots, its ULTRA fast and it has some nice features, like the Ball-levitating Stage, the skill shot, the wand...and NO GI ISSUES!!! Brilliant!!!

If you have 2 games, Breakshot might not be the best pin around (like any other sys11 games and.. and.. and..), but it's great fun for pin and non=pin players alike... Simple, yet challenging to go to the 'wizard mode'...and the bankshot is neat too... I'll buy one...one day...
Ask fellow members that have played it what they think about it... boring game for single-play but it is THE hit of the party when you go 3-on-3, with a few beers and the ref that swears at you!
Frosken...who doesn't hurt 'weak people'...

TOTAN is pound the mess out of the genie. All terrible games.
You get a much better score on Totan if you bound the mess out of the lamp and then bouns multiplers, the lamp value caries over from ball to ball so you just need to get your multipliex value up into the 6x and 7x value and you can be getting 5 - 10 million a ball just on bonus. With how low socring Totan is that is huge.
I owned a ToM for quite a few years and there is alot more to it than "hit the magic trunk". The game is simply awesome, great in all respects except the wizard mode. I will admit the wizard mode is a let down BUT it is challenging to reach, so it's not like you reach it every 4 games.
Won't even bother debating CRAPCOM vs DE. You said something like at least their games had variety. I guess if a company only produces 4 or so games, then sure there will be variety. I would disagree that all DE play the same.
