Ok does this exact board. Plus these ROM's equal working board?

It looks to me like it is missing a CPU and some ram. But I am not familiar with this board. Does anyone know what else would be necessary to complete this board?

Ummm...  no .
That would be too easy...

What you have there is a barebones Pac PCB.

You need Eproms, Color Proms, CPU, Sync Bus Controllers, etc...

In addition, if you want to run Ms. Pac,
you need an additional daughter card
which fits into the CPU socket and has additional chips.

There is a hack that will allow you to play Ms.Pac
without this daughter-card, but it involves PCB hacks,
and if you're going to do that, you might as well get
a 4-1 hack and play multiple games.

Here is the definitive Pac Info site :

As for getting the missing pieces, the Roms and Proms are easy,
(...I can get you those...), but you'll need a Z80 CPU
and Sync Bus controllers adapters.

All of them are repro-ed and fairly easy to obtain,
but aren't exactly cheap..

So at best, you're likely looking at $60 in parts,
but probably closer to $100 + shipping.
(Controller cards [ 2 x $20] , CPU $5-10, Eproms [$20-25], Color Proms [$15],
Ram ? [$10] ) )

However, if you think your PCB is otherwise OK,
it might be worth it, given that original "working" Pac boards
go for $150+ easily.

(NB.  My limited experience has taught me that a board
is usually stripped for parts when it's deemed too problematic to fix.
Of course, that's a relative issue depending on your skills,
but don't assume all you need are new socketted chips. )

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Cheers,
Steph

Well I looked at this board since apparently it is "original" I have seen other variants that also claim to be Ms. Pacman. At any rate without the daughter board it seems like I would be immediately astray from originality running this board solely if I where to carry out the single board hack. I will hunt around for a schematic to see what is required.

I saw a guys cab running Ms. Pacman, single board and not this board.

Besides anything too easy is not much fun. I like a challenge. Thanks for input.

This "is" an original board.

Ms. Pac was built "on top" of the regular Pac Board
by adding the auxiliary/daughter board.
(ie. both Pac and Ms. Pac share the same central PCB.
The only physical difference is the daughter board which houses extra Eproms,
namely for the multiple mazes found on Ms. Pac  )

That said, there is plethora of bootleg boards which play
any number of Pac variations (Hagley Man. Pac Attack, etc... ).
Modern board now use current electronics to build Jamma PCBs
the size of DVD cases

In most cases, you can somehow get a "normal" Pac or Ms. Pac  working
on any of the old bootleg boards by using the "standard" Eproms.

As for wanting an "original" Ms. Pac, it IS possible with
this board, but you'll need to find the auxiliary board
(..which isn't too hard to find since it's not required for people
who upgrade their games to a multi-Pac  )

See here right now...

The bottom line though, is that the cost to get this board built back up
is likely going to be about the same as buying a working one...

However, like most of us here, fixing things is the fun part...

Good Luck,
Steph

Understood. It was really relevant to the fact of getting an original cab and trying to be a purist. But with additional issues to get to that measure I have decided to use the box for an alternate use. I guess I am not there yet.
