Currently under construction, but in Newmarket(30 mins. north of Toronto), they are building an entertainment complex within the Silvercity theatre.  They are advertising 60+ video games, a Brunswick 'vitual' bowling alley, licenced lounge, and something about '"guitar hero" on stage'. It's slated for a summer 2009 opening.
It's good to see a new arcade opening amungst all the arcade closures over the last couple of years, BUT, (in my opinion) being owned by Starburst, how poor is the service going to be?

Interesting.

I was working at the Cineplex head office when they started this idea, nice to see it come to fruition.

As for the machines, they will only be as well mainted as the staff at the theater allows them to be.  Plus I doubt you'll see more then 1 or 2 pins in the place.  But I know the only reason that the Playdium Amusment place in Mississauga machines are in as good a shape as they are is because TOPL is in contact with the manager there and ensures they are maintained.

Just went to see the new Jack Black movie "Year One".  I peeked behind the curtains and found out there are pins being set-up.  The majority of the games appear to be redemption games.
It is tentavely scheduled to open this weekend FRIDAY JUNE 25th...... And I'll be on vacation for a week in New Jersey, so anyone feel free to comment/review if you visit before I get back.

O.K. I'm back, They really outdid themselves building this arcade/entertainment complex. The walls are painted bright yellow and blue and nice carpeting. About 80% of the games are ticket redemption games or prize skill games.  They have the latest vids such as Razing Storm, Big Buck Hunter, and 5 Guitar Hero games. The 2 pins are NBA and 24. Both of which play very well (for now) but it is suprising to see a few lights have given out after such a short time. The Virtual bowling is not that impressive, I would rather play the real thing. There is a licenced bar and restaurant as well as a party room available at the back.
