Anyone in the Essex County - Windsor area willing to help.  I finally got both my SF Rush games running.  One had sound issues so I got new Roms in.  When I did that the other machines video went .  I doubt related.  I checked for power and it was getting 120v to the monitor.  We were gone for the Christmas break and the picture came back for a day.  Now no picture.  Not sure if it is just a cap issue, something else or the monitor is shot.  I am a pin guy and don't really want to play with the monitor.  Any ideas or help would be appreciated.  If I have to put a a slightly used or new monitor in I would pay for the tube and your time.  Let me know and thanks.

So we have not tried it in a week or so and my boy is playing the good one and said to just try and see if the bad monitor sf rush works. I turn it on for kicks and it worked now. I will see tonight after work if it is still working. Just wondering what it could be....monitor or board problem.
Thanks

Well it has been working for two weeks now.  Yesterday during the superbowl I had friends racing each other and everything was great until halftime of the game.  We turned them back on and black screen on the monitor again.  Does this mean it needs a cap kit or is the monitor dying.  This on again off again is pissing me off.  I can find a loose connector so I assume it is the monitor.  Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to keep posting a thread to myself.  Today my boy turned on both SF RUSH games and runs back in to find me and tells me they are both working.  Just wish I could figure why it is on again/ off again in the last little while.  Not sure if a monitor issue or connector.  Any help appreciated.

I'll chime in - not a monitor expert but, the problem you're describing would indicate a bad connection somewhere.  Whether it's a pin connector or bad solder joint or broken wire, I can't say.

You should troubleshoot it no different than you would a pin.  At least, wiggling the connectors and/or putting a little pressure on the circuit board may reveal the issue.

Hope this helps...

Thanks
I have disconnected and reconnected several times with no luck.   Seems once it stops working if left alone for a month it comes back to life.
Hopefully it is still working next time the boy wants to race me.

This is the place to check, connector, solder, rust wires etc ....   The tip on circuit board is very good also.
