I'm wondering what causes that on my AFM, if i gently push the right flipper button then the flipper goes up and down just fine when i release it.

However, if i press it firmly (quick push like i always do while playing..), it will stay up for half a second before going down if i release it quick.

It is not mechanical since its working fine when i press and release  the flipper button gently. It appears to be the right flipper opto that gets triggered by the black part again (the black plastic part that is screwed under the opto board, the one that moves while you push the flipper).

It is more than annoying, anyone ever experienced that ? What is the part that i should replace or tweak ? Its unplayable unless you like the 0.5 sec delay ..

I suggest lift the playfield and go into test mode. Press the flipper button firmly and watch what happens near the button and opto. Maybe something sticks only with a firm press.

You sure it's not mechanical and just hanging up on something like the EOS switch? If you think it might be an opto issue just swap left to right boards and try it. I am still thinking mechanical issue though.

Ouai, moi aussi je pense que c'est plus mecanique que autre chose.....le pluger c'est pas rivé dans le fond du coil??? Les flippers ont tu ete rebuilté dernierement??

thanks guy, i will look into it. I lifted the pf before posting and nothing seemed to be wrong..

I rebuilt the flipper *6 months ago*... the week i got flooded, it was working fine back then but who knows what happened while moving the game.

I will remove all the parts and redo it, it has to be mechanical indeed..
