Looking for a Bally slot machine schematic (and manual, but less important) for model E-2090 (year 1980 to 85)

Does anyone know a reliable source where to purchase these ?

Rodger Knutson helped me and has pdf manuals for sale here: http://jackpot7.freeyellow.com/page21.html. Buy with confidence; I did. This is his website: http://www.coinslots.com. If you have any questions, don't hesitate in contacting him; he'll be sure to assist you. Nice fellow.

Btw, thanks again for the brake switch! I received it either Thursday of Friday.

I have that manual, but if you actually find a schematic, can you point me to the source too, I haven't been able to readily find the actual MPU schematic for the E-series (though I know some places to look if I got desparate).

I should mention that the manual includes schematics for the Power Distribution and P.C. Board Power Distribution  and I/O Boards, and parts layout for the MPU, but no schematics for a series 2000 MPU.     Possibly a security measure.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but the link which Kevin provided seems to differentiate between "manuals" & "schematics" and "wiring diagrams" so we'll see what we get. I sent the link to my client and he'll order what he needs. When Ido the service call I'll let you guys know what I had to work from.

Turns out I also have a Bally FO-650-13 manual which does have the MPU schematics, so I stand corrected. I can't remember if mine's an original or not, but since the schematics are on 11 x 17 folded paper, having a printout done is convenient.  Eventually I could use the other manuals listed like FO-650-12 & FO-650-14 and wiring diagrams for my own projects.  (I wonder if I have those here somewhere too... I really have to do an inventory.)

This reminds me I should try to get a manual for my project Bally E-1275...
CPU does not boot (plus it has some nice battery corrosion I started fixing).

Is there a need of a mod for getting these machines to boot / operate with credits,
without their hoppers?
(hopper is missing in mine, as probably most if not all of these machines).

Cheers,
- Sylvain.

Looking for 1966 Bally Capersville, 1967 Bally The Wiggler, 1981 Stern Viper, 1986 Pinstar Gamatron,
1986 Williams Grand Lizard, 1991 Williams Bride of Pinbot, and a few others.
Cash or some trades available. Could also repair a machine of yours +/-$ if needed, in exchange for
one machine on my want list, non-working/unshopped welcome!

Usually if they were sold in Quebec without hoppers then they were put into bar service on credits to circumvent the Quebec gambling laws (used exactly the way that trade stimulators were, you would trade your credits for drinks!).  I don't know about this exact model, but some have a "play for credit" option built into the programming.  So I am assuming that the mod would have already been built in.  Now the problem comes if they need a reset chip... as many SS models have a security feature that ensures that you replace a certain chip on the MPU in order to reset the board after a major fault (intended to circumvent illegalities).  But you know that part already.....
